The print head installed without issue. My printer recognized it immediately. It will automatically run an alignment, but when the report prints it will be all but blank. Don't panic. If you run a clean print head function it will prime the head. You may need to run a clean function two or three times, but it should work fine after that. I am pleased with this product. I love my HP 8610 and it has given me years of trouble-free service. I do not want to buy a new printer. Nobody makes quality products anymore. Even a brand you used to trust (like HP) only makes garbage now. This printhead has given my 8610 a new lease on life and I expect many more years of excellent service. I may even buy another one to keep on hand for the future when these are no longer to be found.

it does not print!! I reinstalled 4 times etc and it does not print. It shows color on the print head where it is to print onto paper. Printer shows no errors and it moves over the paper like it is printing, I am a old retired computer teck and have two of these printers. Have replaced heads in the past with no problems.

Saved my HP OJ Pro 8620 -- again. First time a few years ago I just needed to flush out the printhead. This time, that didn't seem to work. I opted to buy this printhead and new ink because I cannot find a new printer as good as this one. And IT WORKED! Their instructions were great and it was easy to install. Note that I had to shut off and restart the printer after installing the new printhead. Then it automatically did an Align Printhead; it said it failed and the printed page looked faint. I did what the instructions said and did the Tools > Clean Printhead option. I let it run all three levels of cleaning and the final printed page looked great. I also decided to run Tools > Align Printhead; it said successful and the printed page looked perfect. I'm VERY HAPPY!

A little nervous at first when the printer failed to recognize the new print head at first, but after a couple of false starts the printer accepted the replacement and finally cleared my error messages. As directed, I ran the alignment and head cleaning utilities a couple of times, and then the new print head performed perfectly.

this item did exactly what I hoped and what was advertised to do. Installation was easy. They included instructions both text and graphical. I was initially worried about the purchase price but it looks like it is going to be a great value for that price. It took several cycles of cleaning/test page printing but eventually it is printing at the quality that I had in the original printhead.

I installed this printhead in my HP Officejet Pro 8600 and it fixed my problem, which was that my printer was giving me the error "missing or failed printhead, the printhead appears to be missing, not detected, or incorrectly installed". It was also giving the error "ink system failure, there is a problem with the printer or ink system, turn printer off, then on, if problem persists, contact HP". I followed the YouTube videos for this problem of removing the board and cleaning both sides with a pencil eraser, this did not work. This printhead prevented me from having to buy a new printer. Also, if you are interested in my old printhead, please let me know because you can probably fix it and resell it. Thanks, Greg

Works good in black and white, cannot get color to work. Shows all color cartridges at 1/8 full, even though they are relativey fresh. Will not complete head alignment. Not HP OEM, buy at your own risk.

Does not work properly, would not align so I just stopped trying and it would print certain things poorly. Make a lot of noise. Would not recommend so I will be returning.
