This is one of those 'if it's done right you'll barely notice it' things - I got it, put it on my SP7, and since then it just feels like part of the SP7.It fits great, all the right cutouts, not loose enough to fall out but it's easy to remove.You can add and remove the keyboard while it's in the case, you can't use the Surface kickstand but the case will stand up at all angles - though it does take up some extra space behind it or in front, unless you do some creative folding.I've managed to drop it since I got the cover and neither the cover nor the surface have any marks or damage, so I'm confident about the protective element. It's also not bulky, and adds about a cm or less - which I needed because my handbag has an A4 size compartment, so this fits.The only potential downside is that it's covered with a kind of felt material, so I imagine it'll pick up stains pretty easily and I wouldn't want to scrub it - also the cutouts around the case mean it's not completely waterproof, but they're only exposed on the sides so the front, back, top and bottom should be fine. I'm not going to test that.Comes with a little zip up bag which can hold the SP charger with a few cables and bits and bobs, I charge kind with a usb-c, wall plug, and heavy duty power pack so they all fit in, along with the pen - there's a pen loop on the case but that'd be a tight squeeze in my bag, with no real protection, so I use the little case thing.All seems well made, sensible quality. It ain't beautiful (unless you love grey), it doesn't add any exciting features, it just kind of fits around the surface then fades into the background until you drop it. Which is what I wanted it to do. Fully recommended.

Just received this cover, so can't comment on its longevity, dirt resistance and the like, but I'm impressed with it. Bought this for a Surface Pro 10 for Business, after searching high and low for something that seemed decent. Wasn't expecting too much after looking at its other reviews, but it does it for me. Superb fit. No chance at all of my Surface falling out of it. Fits my Surface like a glove. All buttons and ports are easily accessible. No, you can't use the Surface's built-in kickstand, but the cover takes its place admirably, being easily rigid enough to prop-up the Surface. Magnets on the closing flap could have been slightly stronger in my opinion, but they do keep the flap closed. Only issue might be that although both USB C ports are well exposed, the thickness of the cover's plastic rim might prevent some USB C devices from seating fully home in the USB C ports. I've attached a photo of this area so you can see what I mean. This area of the cover is one that rarely appears in such covers' photos, so I hope it enlightens. If this is an issue, you could connect a USB C device to the USB C port(s) via USB C male to USB C female short leads, or as I saw in some review somewhere, cut them out to make their openings a little bigger, although that seems a bit drastic to me. If you've got a Surface that this cover is designed for it's a no-brainer in my opinion, especially considering the price.

Alittle flimzy but fits my surface pro 7 spot on, didn't really expect much for the price but would have been 5 stars if the card inside the folding parts didn't bend almost like paper

Protection all the way round, all connections accessible and the durability is good for the price point. The hinged lid wraps around the keyboard and makes a strong closure due to the internal magnet. No need to say any more, it's a great choice for the SP9. The cable bag is a nice extra for bits, mains adaptor for example.

Came with scuffs on the front and a little dent in one corner on the back - only cosmetic, but it looks pretty bad. Even if it wasn’t already damaged, the material on the outside is really soft and I doubt it’d stay undamaged for long. I’m pretty sure even a misplaced fingernail would leave marks.There’s a faint chemical smell about it. I’m pretty sure that would go away after a while, but it’s something to note.I really wanted to like this since it’s about the only portfolio case with a full solid shell protecting the tablet, but the fragile outer material is a deal-breaker for me. If you don’t mind that then it isn’t a bad purchase, but I’m looking into returning it and getting a leathery one instead.

Surprisingly good for the price....looks more expensive than it is and protects the device very well!!

Poor quality, had to return it as was worried it would scratch my laptop.
