Yes it would work. Not sure if you would be happy with the color of the product if your cabinet is wood stained. If cabinets are painted this product would be great. Just keep the product as smooth as possible for less sanding.

Yes it can be used about anywhere as long as surface is clean and dry when applied

Q: I just bought a large plastic resin carousel horse that needs a patch. Would this product work? Looking for something that I can sand and paint.

The putty needs to get into pores or have something to push against to hold. Most plastic does not have pores but if you are filling something like a crack it will work. If you are filling a large gap then sand the insides to rough up the surface. The putty will stay in place but will not support a load because it will come loose, same with frequent vibration.

Q: Can this be used in a mold

Yes, have a friend that used it in molds to make some onlays for a piece of furniture. It looks so great, I am going to try it myself in my silicone molds.
