Good value

Having inherited a garden with shallow topsoil covering what appears to be rubble, this compost seems to act as a soil conditioner and seed starter. It is fine and crumbly, retains water and is light enough to use in hanging baskets. A very good all-rounder.

I was tearing my hair out being obliged to now use peat-free composts which seem to be very coarse and wet, with bits of plastic and weed seeds and mushroom spores included. However this compost has made me a happy gardener again. The compost is soft, light, dry, fine and perfect for all uses, including delicate seedlings and indoor plants. It is a pleasure to use and I will be buying some more.

Good quality compost at a good price

Quality, fine compost which was perfect for quickly digging into a soil area prior to grass-seeding. I held a bit back for some bedding plants in a container and they sprung to life immediately. A minor point, but I'm impressed with the 60 litre size; it saves messing about with smaller packs when you want a decent quantity but it's still manageable for both courier and customer!

Compost is good very dry seems to dry out quickly good value for money

This bag of compost looks very small and light for 60 l - I think I'll go to the garden centre next time. Usually I can't move a 60l bag (female) moved this easily- not convinced.
