Crown's flavored syrups are always delicious, the vanilla and the cinnamon being the favorites in my house. They're of course fairly pricey, but they're a wonderful splurge when you can manage it. The vanilla flavor is definitely present in every bite, but it doesn't overpower the overall maple flavor. The two notes complement one another beautifully, and it's a much elevated experience over regular maple syrup, and of course light years above the fake maple syrup we all had as kids. I've used this for the usual pancakes and waffles, but also I use it in baking - I've made maple fudge, scones, cookies, truffles, and all sorts of other wonderful things using the crown maple syrup, and people always rave about the extra hint of flavor above and beyond just 'maple'. You can't go wrong with giving this a try. Regarding having this item shipped - I did order a cinnamon maple in the large size over christmas this past year, and it arrived broken and leaking. This time I was a little nervous due to that, but this one arrived in perfect condition with zero leaks.

Very good flavor. Yes, this may be more expensive than what you buy in the grocery store, but there is nothing like real maple syrup of higher quality. Not heavy, great taste and smell. Almost sounds like I am talking about a whiskey! LOL.

The vanilla adds a great accent to an excellent maple syrup. 1star down because I would like it thicker; this is pretty thin.

I wish i could give 6 starts this is the absolute best maple syrup on the market. I keep multiple bottles of this the Madagascar vinilla is my girls favorite i love them all i don't have a favorite, but just advice you absolute do not have to do this but. I always buy extra vanilla beans and cut them and put them in there.

To be honest I haven't tasted this yet, but I have tasted the maple bourbon maple syrup. It is absolutely delicious. I was so excited to see that they had vanilla. The next time we make some pancakes I will definitely write more on this review. High quality bottle. The shipping was first class triple bubble wrapped and very secure. Like most real maple syrup it is a little more expensive but it's worth the extra money. A little bit goes a long way!! Excellent seal on these bottles as well. Remember real maple syrup is not thick it is very thin so buyer beware make sure you pour very slowly or the whole bottle will be on your morning breakfast.
