Not sure of the noise insulation. I got it so that that it protects the tiles from damage when mounting the toilet which it does.

The Grohe insulation noise suppression foam is very thin, I'm not sure how this will reduce the noise from the system. I feel it's very expensive for what it is, and you could easily add your own make shift solution that I feel would add better sound reduction properties. Maybe consider a layer of roof insulation or other options.

I thought this item would be needed to install a grohe rimless euro ceramic wall hung pan, as it is listed as an optional extra in the instructions. but the foam allows the toilet to move down slightly as it compresses the foam. the toilet's vortex flush is very quiet anyway so the foam is not needed. and the toilet fixing is solid with no flexing once removed.

Does exactly what it's supposed to do. It arrived quick and undamaged, although the box was nearly destroyed.

This is a Grohe 37131, which is a vibration decoupling kit (foam + bolt plugs) for a toilet. Not for laptops at all. Picture is the actual package received.
