I love this resin but this last shipment when I pour it and it cures I am getting what looks like a white oil slick on it why?

This can happen when the temperature is lower. We recommend to check if you were working at room temperature 75℉-85℉ (recommend 78℉). Before the start, you could try carefully warming up the unopened resin & hardener bottle in a warm water bath for about 10 minutes and see if that solves your problem.

What is the shelf life of unused product after opening? Is this different than the 3 quart kit with a 2:1 mix ratio?

I've never had any opened for over a month. But it was good even after that long

Can I make silicone molds with this

Do you mean can you pour this into silicone molds? Answer: yes it is very good resin. Just make sure to stir it for about 5 minutes. If you mean can you use this to make the molds themselves, the answer is no. You have to use silicone to make them. I've never done it myself.
