Be patient tumble a long time and you will be amazed how shiny your rocks will be. Just remember that the finished piece is no better than the base underneath the final finish. Like a paint job on your car, if there are rough patches they’ll still be there at the end.

Amazing. I was about to give up because my rocks were just not getting polished very smooth but not polished read the reviews for this product and decided to try it . I'm only on day 4 of polishing with the 12000 grit and my rocks already look amazing. Will 100% be buying again in the future!

We got some rock tumblers around Christmas and they’ve been running since then. We could never get the polished shine we expected, some of these rocks have been final polished or burnished for weeks without getting them to shine. I decided to give this product a try. It arrived four days ago and I immediately started the problem rocks tumbling in it. I just checked today and they already have a beautiful shine when dry!The grit is pricey, but you cut can cut the cost in half by buying five pounds.

It is the same as I already have , did not make stones shiny

I purchased several other "polishes" for my rock tumbler and none of them got me that wet shiny look the Rocks seem to just get smaller. Now this stuff IS AMAZING!!!!! Not even a full 24 hours with this polish and they are so shiny!!!! I will definitely be buying more!!!

Works great to further polish rocks while tumbling

I purchased this 5Lb polish back in July. It came in individual 1Lb bags. I still had some Rock Shed Aluminum Oxide polish so I didn't start using this polish right away.My first batch using the MJR polish came out looking the same as it did after the 500 Grit pre-polish, so I thought I'd just got some contaminate from the previous stage.My second batch (after 1 week tumble) came out the same, so I ran it for another week, then two. It did get smoother, but no shiny lusterCompared to the Rock Shed polish this is denser, 3T =4T by weight. It acts a lot like Silicon Carbide grit, I get the same sort of results using 1500 SiC fine grit. So if you want a polish to give shine and luster to agates, look elsewhere. If you want a less expensive fine grit, maybe this works for you.

This is the exact grit we needed to get our rocks to shine. We were having a real hard time getting to that stage but since we found this and borax its a game changer!
