The PolarPro Shortstache delivers excellent optical performance with no noticeable image degradation. Its build quality is top‑tier—precise threading, durable materials, and a premium finish that feels engineered for professional use. As a CPL, it provides consistent polarization with no color cast or uneven roll‑off, and the integrated mist layer is tuned well enough to soften highlights without introducing unwanted halation or haze. What sets it apart is how controllable the effect is. The mist strength is subtle, giving you room to fine‑tune the final look in post rather than being locked into an overly strong diffusion. I’ve purchased multiple units and keep them on my primary lenses full‑time, using step‑up rings across the rest of my kit with zero vignetting or mechanical issues. In my opinion PolarPro continues to deliver reliable, high‑quality optics that perform exactly as advertised.

Bought for a Fujifilm X100VI for my girl. She has trouble picking out film simulations and ends up editing heavily anyways. She loves grain and mist. This simplified the process by allowing her to use the standard shooting mode but also introducing just the right amount of diffusion around lights. We went on a photo walk shortly after we got it and she tested it on neon signs, yellow house lights, and oncoming cars. She loved it as it changed up her photos the way she wanted it to and cut down glare on windows as she frequently shoots reflections. It installed on her camera with no issues and the polarizer is easy to turn. It is a little expensive but you get what you pay for. Something to note is that the lens protector she previously bought also fit over the filter. It is a robust filter and dust won't be an issue since it will likely live on her camera for the rest of its life.

I absolutely love the quality I can see without a doubt that polar pro takes good care and making sure they put out well built accessories…. But it goes without saying, even with the adapter, the Fujifilm lens cap still falls off. And that to me is very annoying, considering the price point for this single filter

This filter is everything I expected from a polarpro product. The build quality feels amazing. The mist looks great really making the highlights glow. I’ve used it predominantly while shooting street photography and this filter gives a great glowing dreamy look to all the pictures.

Really nice case and the filter looks sturdy. Adds that extra sauce to your photos, although I find pricy to what it is/does. I found particularly good when used during golden hour. I had that attached to my 70-200 lens, but still have to test different lenses.

Even though 1/4 black mist still too much for me but with CPL on, I can control the mist effect. which really help me create nice photo.

Great filter, you need an adapter

Not compatible with Sony GM lens. Had to return it just like the other PolarPro filter. Will not consider PolarPro products in the future
