Worked well. Pull it from the front and let it go until it reached the clog. Its quick strong. I was able to unclog my bathtub drain. It did the job!

Every few months, we need to snake out the drain line from our washing machine. Needed a new 35' auger and saw good reviews and popularity of this one. It was easy to use and the ergonomics of handle and crank were both good. It cleared the line very well with very little effort.The problem was when I got to the end of the cable. Without warning, the cable came completely loose from the drum. It was like it wasn't attached at all. My attempts to reconnect the cable with the drum completely failed.I looked online for advice on how to fix it and saw another reviewer reported a similar problem. I don't know if this is a problem with the design or if there are just occasional defects with the manufacturing.I've had to return it, which is unfortunate, because I liked everything about the auger. That said, I have to give it a 1 star review, because it failed on first use.
