Works great with Linux
I've been looking for a decent Bluetooth adapter for my Linux workstation (desktop) for years, as every single one I've purchased (up until now) has had quirks - like micro-stutters and crackles if the wifi is being used, extremely short range, some devices not being able to pair (etc etc etc).I bought the "Latest BT5.4-Detachable Antenna-BT548" model, and it just works! Plugged it in, paired my devices (speakers, a couple of pairs of headphones, a mouse and a keyboard), and everything "just works"! It couldn't have been easier!!!Audio is flawless, and I can walk around my entire apartment without the connection dropping or stuttering. Very happy with this purchase, may purchase a couple more as spares. Really surprised this isn't advertised as being "Linux compatible".I use Arch, by the way ;) Currently on kernel 6.15.

Plug & Play
The dongle works as expected. Runs on Windows 11 Pro 24H2 - Plug & Play. This dongle comes with a rather long antenna and the unit itself is slightly wider than a standard USB Type A plug. Therefore, I recommend making sure you have enough room around the I/O or enough ports so that it is pushing or putting pressure on any other USB plugs.I purchased this originally for use with Multi-Factor Authentication and Passkey so my desktop could connect to my phone and authenticate my logins when working from home. However, I have since paired my Xbox Series X controller to it, to play GTA 5 games. Works great, no lag or blips that I have seen / felt. It's a 5/5 for me.

Increased range but not too much
Honestly, I got more of a range increase for my bluetooth connections by putting this adapter on an extension and taping it to the wall. At that point I'm not sure if the performance is because of the extra long antenna - confirmed with multimeter that it works - or from being far from interference. Maybe both.Works out of the box on Linux, plug and play. It's significantly bigger than other adapters (obviously).

Excellent product
This works amazingly well. Prior to buying this I had a thumb size 5.4 bluetooth dongle on an active USB extension clear from the back of my PC to give me a range of about 12 metres. That just about meant I could use my buds to listen to music playing on my PC whilst in my kitchen. However, the connection was still flakey and often dropped out. I replaced the dongle with this adapter and I now have total coverage throughout the house including upstairs as well as outside in the garden and down the street! My buds are Beats Solos which come with long-range Class 1 bluetooth but that still requires a decent signal from the source which is precisely what this adapter delivers. Recommended.Top tip - I don't use the buds for taking calls on the PC (as its a PC, not a phone!). Disabling the buds as a microphone device on the PC means the full bluetooth bandwith is allocated to audio. This transforms the sound quality.

Quick to setup and connecting
Having a LenovoT5, very known for his "Bluetooth" ghosting. I decided to go with an external BT at this point. Promptly delivered, inserted in the USB and that's it, the device are connected in lesser then my mobile takes to connect.

Works on Linux
Works on Linux (specifically Bluefin).Range is decent, obviously walls will obstruct this. If you live in a large house and you need to go to the other side of the house, you will have problems, but I can listen to music in 1 - 2 rooms away in a small flat.

Long term review
Thought I’d try get a better Bluetooth dongle as my old one was junk. This one has worked well out of the box. However over time I have noticed it have delays or drops off a device every so often.I think with these things, unless you pay more money you are going to have sacrifices here and there.Maybe it’s because I’m using a couple of devices at a time, but all I can do is share my experience
