I went natural about a year ago and found that what I've always thought (and been told) was 4c hair is actually more like 4a/4b- It just was never properly hydrated as a child. I have tried a many products along my journey to see how they are received by my hair, tweaked my styling process, and developed my technique. I've come full circle back to this product. I have found this to be the only product that my hair absorbs so thoroughly that it still enables me to use a curling cream or styling cream on top of it without it feeling like it's too much AND that I'm able to put a gel on top of issue. It is the perfect base product - like a hydrating primer for the hair. Also, the only product that I'VE used who's texture matches is it's name- 'Milk'. It is thin and runny...like when you put water in your condition bottle to get that last bit out because it cost too much money to throw away when you can make it last at least 2 more times! Because of this it pairs well with the rest of my regimen whether I'm going for a soft & full look (styling creams, butters, mousse) or a defined curl (gels, custards). I mainly use this when I'm wearing a Wash n Go. I use this after my leave in. I have been consistently blown away by how this quenchs my curls and keeps them succulent until my next wash. Also, there's no smell to conflict with other products or your fragrance. I've heard that some find the smell offensive. My observation on this is that those individuals prefer hair products to smell good whereas I prefer minimal scent as I find strongly scented hair products annoying abd I wear perfumes and essential oils and don't want conflict. Only drawback for me is, because of its texture vs the thickness of my hair, I run through this quickly. If only it was in a pump bottle. I may just grab 2 and put them in one myself.

Love this product only cream I’ve found that keeps my hair moisturised without the buildup. Good for High porosity hair. I pay ~ 40 € just because it’s that’s good.

I love all Miss Jessie's products that I have tried. Baby Butter Milk is amazing for right out of the shower with freshly washed hair. Like a quarter sized amount. Keeps my hair much more moisturized. I also use it with a hair mister to refresh my waves. Each Miss Jessie's product has it's own unique smell and Baby Buttermilk smells like a product you would use on a baby, but it doesn't smell like baby powder. Smells good. It is thick, almost like hand lotion. My son uses it too and loves it. It might leave your hair greasy if you don't have dry hair or color treated hair. I have 2B waves.

I bought this as a recommendation to work with Miss Jessie’s pillow soft curls. I use the baby buttermilk a couple of days afterwards to add moisture. The scent reminds me of fresh laundry or baby shampoo. It’s nice but I’m not a huge fan of fragrance, so I use it sparingly. Don’t apply too much in your hair, otherwise it might feel sticky.

It softens coarse, brittle or type 4C hair and brings life to dry hair. I wear my hair in natural styles - twists or bantu knots. I use it every other day. Prevents breakage.
