Excellent Upgrade to my BMW X1 F48 2017
Ordered on July 23rd , Delivered August 17th. First of all I got the Linux System because all I need is Android Auto. The Package is premium! Unboxing the head unit was really Apple like. Seriously everything looks premium. Installation was very easy since I watched a lot of YouTube videos before I put my hands on. It is an Amazing upgrade to my BMW and the best thing is that I keep my IDrive, so whenever I want to, I go back to Idrive and use it as I'm used to. I got to keep my Harman kardon Premium system with this head unit. It boots in less than 8 seconds (video attached) and I can change the boot logo to whatever I want . The screen is HD touchscreen , I went from an 8' screen to a 10.2' screen. Excellent unit , so far I'm I love with it

DON'T BUY!!
PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME AND DO NOT PURCHASE THIS SCREEN. IT'S NOT COMPATIABLE WITH THE BMW CAR SYSTEM. I TRIED EVERTYING AND THERE IS NO AUDIO SOUND NOR OEM VISIBILTY. AUTO SHOPS WILL NOT HELP ME AND STATED THESE ARE SCAM ITEMS THAT DON'T WORK WITH BMW OPERATING SYSTEM.

Ordered the wrong one, no problem!
So far so good! Support was great, as we ordered the wrong unit. It was 6-pin, but EVO. We needed 6-pin NBT (2017 X1 -F48) Apparently that was a transition year and could be either. Install took a bit but the hardest part was getting the head unit back in with the extra cables.

Great results from unit, the interface with the bmw’s original controls is a little wanky

Almost good
I’ve had several problems throughout this entire process of install mainly Bluetooth issues. As you can see in this video, the car radio continues to play even when a song is initiated in CarPlay. The only way to get car play audio to work is to go back into OEM audio settings and select the phone via Bluetooth. Once this is done i can go back to CarPlay and Spotify or other music apps can work. I have sent a couple emails to support, if they’re able to help me figure this out, I’ll update my review. If not, I’ll probably return it.

Awesome Upgrade!
Just installed it into my 2016 BMW X1 F48 today and myself. Took about 2 hours bc I worked slowly and carefully, but not a problem and it works great and sounds soooooo much better thank my standard OEM sound. Used the aux input just fyi. 👍👍

It is not prefect!
Installation was easy, customer support was none existence, especially when you have issue that is not common. Touch screen isn’t very accurate and sensitive, hard to operate when driving. System will not start from time to time. CarPlay will always pause when you switching from CarPlay to OEM menu!

Soporte es muy malo
No funciona,escribes a soporte de la marca y no te ayudan en nada!!! Perdí el audio de mi radio y la información del oem tuve que devolverla por qué no funcionó y nunca me ayudaron
