It is what it is. A good basic cheese grater that you do not need a special place for like the stand up graters. Lays flat in any drawer. Larger than many I have seen. Rubber on the ends do help with grip and securing against the countertop etc.

Love this! Great for 1 Ib chunks of cheddar. Inexpensive, nice sturdy size, and sharp. Stores on a hook flat against a wall. If you believe in the KISS formula, you'll buy this particular cheese grater.

I've had so many cheese graters and nearly all of them have disappointed. Usually the amount of cheese you get per swipe is lacking and the durability is terrible. Not so with this one. This generates a large amount of nicely grated cheese in the shortest time of any manual grater I've ever used. It's also sturdy and easy to clean. Is it perfect? well, not quite as it does take more effort to slide the cheese over the grates so it would be nice if the grates were a tad sharper, but for the price and functionality otherwise, it's a fair trade-off. I suppose the grates not being razor sharp reduces the likelihood of injury so maybe it's not a bad thing and I'm happy to provide the extra strength for the results you get with this.

Got this to replace an old box grater that I really disliked. This one is so much easier to clean! (Tip: rub a little oil on the front and back of the grater for easier cleanup after grating cheese.)
