Let me start by saying, if you're prepping for the BCBA exam and looking for a fun way to study, this book is an absolute gem! It's not just another boring guide, its fun and makes studying more interesting. The visuals are the best part!! Charts, diagrams, and illustrations! They take those tricky concepts and turn them into something you can actually wrap your head around. Whether you're a visual learner or not, these visuals will make studying feel less like a chore. This book is amazing! I bought this combined with the workbook & both have been amazing! I struggle with ADHD so the visuals are very helpful and make it easy to follow / understand! They also have a digital version for on the go which is helpful as well! If you’re studying for the exam & considering this to help with studying, buy it!!!

This book is AMAZING! As someone with ADHD who is a visual learner, I love the way it breaks down complicated topics into easier to understand pieces with amazing visuals. The online companion portal has so many different resources that I look forward to using to study for the BCBA exam! I couldn’t recommend this book more!

As someone who is trying to study each content outline independently (focusing on my weakest areas) I’m very disappointed this is so out of order and mushed with other categories. Here’s the order the book goes in: A3, A4, A1, A2, B1, B2, B3, B2 with B13, B4 with G1, B6 with B18, B7, B4 with G1 (again), B9 with G16, B10 with H4, G18, B5 with G17, B12, G6, B21 with G19, F1-3, F5-8, C1 with H1, H2-7, F4, G9 with B24, G12, B11, G2, G14, B19, C4, C12, C7, C10, C11, D1-9, G4, G14-16, E1-12, I1-7. I mean.. phew! It’s giving me whiplash. That aside, the information itself isn’t very explicit. I found myself googling concepts that were lightly touched in the book but not well explained (at least not on the level to should be for studying for BCBA boards). I also found a data error in the IOA tables, which at first, made me question if I was conducting IOA correctly because I calculated my own from their table before looking at their explanation. All that being said, the graphics are cute and help break up the information. This would be a fantastic gift for a band new bcba student who is just starting coursework; but I wouldn’t recommend it for someone studying for their boards.

I have ADHD and Cooper is a struggle to get through. The same concepts I struggled with I understood right away with this book.

For the price I am disappointed that I am finding mistakes in the book - attaching an example of where they have conditioned negative reinforcers labeled unconditioned. Also the quiz companion doesn’t tell you why an answer is right or wrong, which doesn’t really aid with studying
