I really enjoyed the TRUBAR Vegan Protein Bar in Strawberry Shorty Got Cake. It has a dessert-like flavor that doesn’t taste artificial, which is hard to find in protein bars. The texture is soft and satisfying, and it actually feels like a treat. I appreciate that it’s plant-based, gluten-free, dairy-free, and made without sugar alcohols. With 12g of protein and 12g of fiber, it keeps me full and works well as an on-the-go snack or quick breakfast option. I bought these TRUBAR Strawberry Shorty Got Cake flavor bars looking for a protein option that didn't taste "artificial" and the truth is that they surprised me a lot. From the first bite, the flavor really reminds of a strawberry cake, sweet but balanced, without that strange aftertaste that many bars have. I love that they are made from plants and that they do not contain gluten, dairy products, soy or sugar alcohols, because I am very careful with the ingredients I consume. Each bar has 12 g of protein and 12 g of fiber, so it keeps me satisfied for several hours, perfect as a mid-morning snack or when I don't have time to prepare something else. The texture is soft and pleasant, it does not feel hard or dry, and the size is ideal to carry in the bag. In addition, it gives me a lot of peace of mind to know that I am eating something with cleaner ingredients, without sacrificing the flavor. After trying them, I would definitely buy them again and would also recommend them to those looking for a vegan protein bar that really tastes good and feels like a taste, not an obligation.

I really like the taste and how filling this bar is. It’s a great snack and keeps me full for a while. The texture is a bit thicker than I prefer, and the flavor is very sweet. If I don’t have a drink nearby, it can be uncomfortable to eat and even makes me cough a little. Overall, still a good protein bar.

These bars taste so good! The Macchiato is my particularly favorite flavor even I am not a coffee drinker but the blend of sweet and lowkey coffee flavor is a great combination and often I just eat half and then half later. It provides a treat and is great for on-the-go. My other favorite flavors are key lime, also, SO good, great flavor, a nice light lime-y taste, and the peanut butter jelly one. I've also had the salty-licious and cookie dough. They are all satisfying with a good flavor, plus not a lot of sugar, and of course, vegan. It's a great breakfast, snack, or for me, I tote them to eat on a plane ride.

I absolutely love this bar. The bar is soft and fresh. It has a strawberry flavor that’s perfectly sweet. It has a good amount of protein to keep me full and the sugar content is okay. I like that it has better, healthier ingredients. It’s portable and easy to toss in a bag for snacks or workouts. It does have a chalky protein taste and the texture is chewy and gets suck in and hurts my teeth but overall it’s a tasty and convenient protein snack.

I've been addicted to Trubars since I first came across them a few years ago, and with citrus being one of my absolute favourite flavours in general, I thought that their new key lime flavour would be utter perfection. Not only was it not even remotely as good as any of their other flavours, it was terrible. For the most part, the bars themselves are all the same, with the difference showing up in the coating by way of flavouring extracts. The key lime smelled very much like cleaning products and tasted extremely artificial, with a perfumed aftertaste that almost made me feel like I was walking by Bath and Body Works. Let's be real. As far as protein bars go, the nutrition profile of Trubars isn't astounding. The protein is relatively low, with higher calories and sugar, comparatively. The macros aren't amazing. I buy them because they are vegan and (usually) an incredibly delicious, healthier alternative to a chocolate bar or other sweet snack. All other flavours available in Canada I'd rate between 4.5-5/5. The key lime would get a 0/5. I hope the recipe gets reworked with some real key lime zest, and they do away with the scented candle flavouring.

I love the Strawberry Shortcake ones, but I'm not in love with any of the other flavors I've tried so I love that I can buy a whole box of this one. It's sort of a strange pasty texture but I find the flavor really good and easy to get down vs some other protein bars. Doesn't have a ton of protein in it but that's okay.

Tasty, I really like the lemon. Strawberry tastes weird to me.

These bars are usually delicious. The box I received contains bars that are all rock hard and taste awful.

Delicious, good size, nice texture. But with the price I pay I wish they’d clean up the ingredients…’natural flavors’ i’m about to make a homemade version so I don’t have to worry about unclear additives thrown in to make people keep buying for that superficial taste. Great attempt though, I hope they improve in the future
