I had given up on looking for this design and wham there they are on Amazon! Great rivet for carpeted boat hatch compartments.

I was in the middle of a rebuild of my plastic fishing boat (Sun Dolphin Pro 120) and I tried to use regular rivits to attach angled aluminum to the hull. After I attached it, with about 8 rivits, the first one popped out. So I gave it a little tug and everyone came out of the hull. I started searching different types of rivits and found these. These were perfect for this application!!! After I put one in, I tugged on it and it didn't budge! I used these everywhere I had to mount aluminum to the plastic hull. I highly recommend these!!!

They worked pretty good

All aluminum no metal mandrel so they will not rust. The trifold grips really good. Highly recommended versus the old style with it. I would definitely recommend you. Just need to know what length to buy. I would recommend not getting anything shorter than three-quarter inch long and I use mostly 1 inch long myself.

I use these to hold velcro 2 inch wide by 16 inch long straps on carbon fiber leg braces , they collapse like. they are suppose to and hold strong

Good for tin wall applications

These are not tri star rivets, they do not pull out to the 3 stars, they simply bend as one . tested two when product arrived both the same, and the rivets themselves do have have the slits normally found in the tri star rivets to allow them to breakout to the 3 points. very easy for the rivet to pull out, so could be very dangerous if you don't realize it is not secure. see photo for two examples of what happens . (also tried in material same results)
