TP-Link TX20U Nano, Wifi 6 Dongle
TP-Link TX20U Nano, Wifi 6 Dongle Pros: –Extremely pleased with results. Worth investment to increase internet connection speeds of laptops original Realtek wifi 5 NIC card to communicate with Eero wifi 6 router. Reached advertised 1201Mbps wifi 6 speeds; nearly tripled connection from 433Mbps of original wifi 5 –New 2025 model Intel laptop. Windows 11 Home, 25H2. Original NIC card is inaccessible so had to resort to using dongle to increase connection rate and improve download/upload speeds. Plugged dongle into USB 3.1, Gen2 port Cons: None so far; installation and operation are all positive and stable Other thoughts: –Downloaded backup copy of latest Windows 11 wifi drivers from TP-Link website but drivers on installed on dongle were recognized. --Hardware model Archer TX820U Nano, version 1.6 –Reconfiguring laptop software and installing new drivers took less than 10 minutes; no OS system errors or conflicting drivers

Great product that took a little time to get installed on Windows 10
I recently upgraded my Xfinity speed and installed a new Netlink modem and TP-Link mesh routers. Worked great with speeds a little over the 300 mbps I am paying for except on an old Windows 10 desktop where I was getting just about 50 mbps. Installed this on that machine and got it up to high 200's. It was not quite plug and play. I plugged it in and the installation program started and ran but when I went into settings the device was there but not connected. Downloaded the driver from the TP-Link website and reran installation. This time Windows did not want to install because the installation was "not trusted". I chose to install anyway and then had to reboot to finish the installation. After that I returned to settings and the old adapter was disconnected and the new TP-Link was connected and speed was dramatically improved. I am computer literate but by no means a techie. Bottom line for me: a great product that took some bumbling around to get it working.

Garage computer now has internet
I put an older computer in my garage to look up repair information and this little wifi dongle worked perfect to get it online. Plus, it has a small memory partition built-in to it that contains the drivers. It auto played and installed once plugged in for the first time.

Easy to install
Able to increase internet connection from 2.4 to 5.0, but needed a tech to disconnect the internal connector.

Bad product/ Poor customer service / Company does not honor warranty
If I could give this product 0 stars I would. This product doesn't work - Internet connection is spotty. It does goes on and offline constantly. Beware of false advertising. This company does not honor the waranty. I have been trying to get a replacement product since Thanksgiving with no success. The customer is expected to save the original packaging for a year. Customer service prompted me to register this product on the tp-link website. To register the product, an account needs to be created where a serial number needs to be entered. The serial number (S/N) printed on the product is 10 characters, and the registration process requires a 13 digit serial number. Even when jumping through hoops for the warranty, a customer still cannot qualify as there is no 13 character serial number nor any other 13 character product number printed on this product. Don't shop here. Save your time and money.

Great wi-fi adapter.
I gave my daughter a laptop several years ago. She was trying to replace the battery and tore a wire off accidentally. It was for wi-fi. I bought this and it works great. Can't beat the price.

Why is this Wifi 6 adapter using USB 2.0 and why isn't that advertised on the store page?
I bought the Nano USB version of the AX1800 because I work nearby the Wifi router, and so I didn't see any reason to purchase the antenna version(s). Installation was simple, easy, and took no less than a minute. There was the initial hiccup of it connecting only through 2.4ghz, but that resolved after switching ports. The issue lies in its performance. Even though it supposedly supports transmission speeds up to 1200mbps, I was only able to reach 300mbps in network speed tests. This is 150MBPS less than what I usually get with my phone's WIFI, so I knew something was wrong. So, I look at the box more closely, and see it immediately. What could be the problem, you ask? There is one important technical detail that isn't shared once on its store page, which is that it uses a USB 2.0 interface that offers data transfer rates up to 480 Mbps. If I had known that it was USB 2.0, I wouldn't have bought the Nano USB version. I've rated this product 1 out of 5, and that's in spite of how easy it was to install and use. Failing to mention this very important detail, that users will not be reaching anything beyond 480mbps, would have been nice to know before purchasing. tl;dr It doesn't even reach 480mbps, the USB 2.0 transfer speed. UPDATE: Further usage has shown that USB 2.0's inability to send and receive data at the same time causes disruptions in the connection. This is especially noticeable in online gaming, or AirLink VR. Its hotspot feature is also impaired as connected clients could be dropped if the PC downloading at uncapped speeds. I've frequently run Speed Tests to see if it matches my phone's Wifi speed, and it still hasn't. If only it were USB 3.0, it would be the perfect USB Wifi adapter. Last Update: I see that the page was updated! I have made my return and increased my rating to 3 stars to better reflect the product as it is now. This was done because if the specifications suit your needs, then look no further. Otherwise, look into their better adapters which absolutely cover your needs. I own nothing but TP-Link routers and adapters, this is good to see.
