Brilliant - so easy to set up, plug it in to iPad connect a HDMI Cable & works perfectly with my iPad and old Samsung TV just connected up instantly so I can now watch all my streaming channels on the bigger screen. Great value for money. No quality issues with any of the apps onto the tv - I think Now tv was the only bug beat as the picture doesn’t fill the whole screen but it’s still way bigger than watching on iPad screen and of course sound much better on TV too.

Finally! I have worked my way through 3 other devices trying to find what I want, and this ticks all boxes. I have a new MacBook Pro (M4), that I want to use both out-and-about, and when home, connect to my KVM via 1 cable, so that I can use my Apple Touch ID keyboard to unlock, external mouse, 32" 4k monitor and power the device at the same time (did I mention all through 1 cable?) So my KVM handles most of the features, it has a USB connector for the mouse and keyboard. It also has HDMI for the monitor. Thats 2/3 requirements met. The device itself has USBC Charging up to 100W. This just works. I plug my KVM USB and HDMI cables in, and external power, and I can run my MacBook Pro in clamshell mode (lid down all the time), and the display is at a (relatively crisp) 60hz, whereas others a re limited to 30. With other devices, including fully fledged hubs with 8-10 functions etc, or other cheaper 3-in-1 devices like this, I found that switching to the macbook was so frustrating. I pressed the button on my KVM, then I put my finger on the touchId, and I'd expect my external monitor to come to life, but no. I either had to unplug and re-plug the device, or open the lid to get it to work (even this was hit or miss). With this device though, IT. JUST. WORKS. I choose my device via KVM (switching between my desk based mac or my laptop) and put my finger on the fingerID and hey-presto. We are logged in and ready to go. I do not know why that was so painful, but i am glad for this device. It has a button on the adapter to turn the screen on or off as well, not sure I would ever use that, and it literally just cuts the feed to the display, it is not the same as unplugging the display. So if your laptop screen looks a little squished because you are "mirroring" to an external 4k display, If I physically unplugged the display, the laptop would revert to its usually "I am just using the laptop" display resolution, but when you press the button, the external display goes blank, but the laptop display still thinks its mirroring at 4k and is still squished. Maybe its a privacy feature? But can't see myself needing it. Very happy with purchase though.
