Brooks Men's PureFlow 7

Have run between 10-15 miles per week in these for the past month or so and can come to a few conclusions.First off, I am a big fan of Asics and was previously running in a pair of Asics Cumulus shoes which are very high on cushion. I switched away from Asics after seeing all the terrible reviews on the latest generation and looked into Brooks. One thing I've always wanted to do was to start running more bio-mechanically natural and not going almost barefoot like with those Vibrams. That meant the shoe had to have some light cushioning and very low heel to toe height difference. The PureFlows fit all of these requirements.Running in these shoes versus my previous Asics had me feeling these differences:- Closer-to-the-ground ride. I had to adjust nearly have my toe strike the ground first (which I wanted) vs heel first.- Better fit. The tongue on the Asics always seemed to slip from one side to another, but this has never happened with the Brooks.- Lighter.- Less breathable. This is kind of a negative as the fabric on the Brooks is less breathable than what you'd find on a pair of Asics. Better for cooler days, but my feet do get a bit warmer (not unbearable) on the warm days.All in all I am happy with the purchase although I've had to readjust my running style a bit to work with these shoes. Again that was my original goal, so I'm satisfied.

I love these shoes. I recently went to get fitted in a running store and they wanted to put me in a stability shoe simply because of my size. When I tried those my feet couldn't esily bend and started to cramp up, so I went right back to these. I wore these for marathon running when the first version came out but stopped when they went off the rails with design a few years ago. I am so glad that they have come back closer to where they started so my feet can get some support but still enjoy the freedom of movement. I love these shoes!

I have worn the PureFlow Brooks shoes 7 years now. Not sure what has changed with the manufacturing, but in recent years, it seems that the PureFlow line of shoes have gotten smaller. Not in a simple "size up" way, but in a "my foot feels like it is in a baseball mitt" way.I did size up for this shoe, but it was still too fluffy/tight, and suffocated my foot.I want comfort in my running shoe, like the older PureFlow products, not relief when its off.

I'll give the seller the benefit of the doubt and assume these shoes were resold after the immediate return from another customer because they do appear to still be in good shape.As a marathon runner, this is at least my 10th pair of PureFlow's I've bought online from various seller. However, this is the first time that the shoes upon arrival did not come with the expected paper shoe stuffers inside the shoes. Additionally, upon close inspection I can see that the bottoms of the shoes have hit the pavement at least once (very minor scuffing), and the shoe's support looks very slightly collapsed on the edges.I'm not going to return them because I desperately need new shoes to run but I will be using a different seller in a few months time when it's time for another pair.

I generally wear shoes until they fall apart. That creates a problem since manufacturers change their lasts over the period of wear and it seems impossible to get the same fit. It was a pleasant surprise to find that the fit of the Pureflow 7 was just the same as the original. If anything it is a bit more comfortable. The tread seems to be a bit harder, which should provide good wear at the expense of being a bit more slippery on wet surfaces. Overall this is a great choice and I recommend it.

over the years I've had the opportunity to appreciate the evolution of Brooks men's pure flow. This pure flow 7 does not disappoint. Comfort, response, and even style all exceed the previous grandfathers of the pure flow 7. The width, size, and instep seem to be about the same as previous generations so stepping into the 7 was an easy transition. The only reason I didn't give it a 5/5 is that I cannot find an 'E' width shoe. Brooks had an 'E' width pure flow but now not sure if Brooks still manufactures such a shoe to accommodate my sopapilla foot.

I have 3 pairs of the 6 and they are all too narrow in the toe box. That problem is fixed with the 7. This is the best fitting, most comfortable shoe in the series so far and feels much more like a Brooks shoe. Great support with the lightweight quality that makes its feel like you are running with cushioned bare-feet.

So I have owned 5 pairs of these. The reson why is the material, I tend to wear the toe box out because my big toe pushes up as I run and, eventually that big toe busts the toe box. In every pair that I have owned not once has this happened. That's why I love them, the only thing is they are a lil heavy, but in my case i need that extra so I dont bust the toe box. I love this shoe. I have heard brooks is changing or getting rid of the pure flow. I'm begging please, please, please, don't. On a side note I keep my other pairs for river walking and, trail running when i dont want to mess up my newest pair. Great durable shoe.

comfortable and good compromise between low profile and cushion

Long time pureflow user, started with their first version, used versions 1 through 4. Finally ran out of 4's and had no choice but to buy 7's, couldn't find others. The design has changed a lot over the years and that is why I only give 3 stars. They fit smaller and just feel totally different than the original Pureflow line. They ruined a good thing just for marketing, to put out a new 'model' every year. Sad... :(

Comodísimas, muy ligeras, buenas prestaciones, buena respuesta en diferentes terrenos, a pesar de ser drop 4 no se nota mucho pero te permite correr sin talonar. Se agradece que no tenga costuras para evitar roces y se ajusta a la perfección. ES el tercer par que tengo de este modelo y sin dudarlo me compraría un cuarto.

Laufe seit vielen Jahren Brooks. Habe zwischenzeitlich viele andere Marken getestet. Es gibt keinen Laufschuh der auch nur annähernd so eine perfekte Passform hat wie brooks.

Very comfortable, fit as expected with some nice room in the toe box.
