Q: do these peel away from light & fluffy cupcakes? (I ask because some comments say they're a lot thicker/stronger than the crimped-sided silicone cups)

They should, if you've properly greased and maybe floured them. Some people are willing to sacrifice more stuck-on cupcake than others, so adjust according to your preference. I've recently started using the silicone scrubbies meant for washing your face to grease my pans and cups. I can use a very small slice of butter or coconut oil and easily get a smooth, thin coat everywhere with little effort and no waste. These are thicker and stronger than most standard sized silicone cups in my experience, and easier to clean because they're smooth sided. They're good for a lot of things.

These would be the equivalent of jumbo size muffins, not standard size. It would depend on which muffin mix you use, but a box that says it makes 12 standard muffins might make 6 of these.

The sides are tapered, thus, top diameter is 3.5, bottom 2.5, and pan is 1.8" deep.

Q: Are these sturdy enough for a toddler to eat out of?

They are not sturdy. They are made of silicone, very soft. They would work for a toddler for sold items (gold fish, etc), not anything liquid. A toddler could squish them in their hands. They are very soft.
