Very Strong Laptop
The storage capacity is good, along with the RAM capacity. The graphics card is great as well. The laptop has a great build, as it's made out of metal and has pretty high quality parts for its price point. The laptop is also good at staying cool with its 3 fan system and is fairly bright, even with an antiglare monitor. The i9 is very fast, as it has 8 performance cores and 16 effeciency cores (24-cores total). 16 GB RAM is nice at not causing freezing for most tasks, but upgrading the RAM is suggested if you wish to use this for gaming. Upgrades are easy too, as both the SSD and the RAM are not soldered and click in and out of the laptop's motherboard. Plus, there are 2 SSD slots and 2 RAM slots, with 1 free SSD slot if you want to purchase an extra storage card to have additional storage on top of the 1 TB SSD that is provided. Overall, this choice is amazing if you want a quality gaming laptop at a reasonable price point. The only suggestion I would have for buyers is upgrading the RAM if using for heavy gaming.

Worth the little extra
I bought this laptop after my Asus Zephysus failed and quit working one year after buying it from best buy. This is my third ROG. My first one from 2014 never failed me but in 2023 i figured it was time for an update. The Strix has none of the problems the Zephysus had. I have zero heat issues, it can play all the games i want it to (and they look great). It powers up fast and i have had zero issues with crashes or blue screens of death. It has been very reliable for every task i have need it for. I deploy quite often so the laptop is one of my few forms of entertainment. When im at home i can take it room to room to be with my family and use it. This is something you can't really do with a console. This was twice the price of my last laptop and the most expensive of the three ive owned, but to me it is worth the price. It has all the bells and whistles with led lighting around the base and keyboard if you care about that. The biggest plus for me though was that it is user friendly. I prefer the NVIDIA interface to the AMD and the asus apps. I am not the most technological and just want the games a buy to play the best on the computer i have. If you are trying to choose between ASUS ROG products just go ahead and pull the trigger on this one, you wont regret it. Don't forget to add the Amazon warranty, better to have it and not need it and all that.

Extremely buggy/pixelated screen
Amazing computer at first. I bought it march of this year and the performance was amazing. I'm in the military and as a gamer, a gaming laptop is a must for me. Constant 240 frames on most games. But around three months after I got the laptop, it became completely unusable for games. The screen would become pixelated and the laptop would basically only be useful for watching things. I'm overseas and getting it checked out is a huge hassle. I've done everything I could to try and fix it but nothing works. It's been around 3 months and I still haven't been able to get it fixed. Would be a great laptop if this didn't happen.

Solid computer
This is solid computer, a but loud, really hot during high performance games, but completely adequate for quality gaming. I had no issues with it or the delivery. Screen may be a bit small, but it works for me. It’s decently fast, image quality is good. Battery life is ok for general functions, not so good for gaming. I got it during sale for a sweet 20% off deal, which made it even better.

It's a beast
This thing is an actual beast. It can handle any game you toss at it. I mostly play at 1440p and was hesitant to buy a 4070 system since 4080's seemed to be better, but it implies always paying more than 2k and I knew I'd also need to invest on a good gaming keyboard, monitor and mouse. This laptop runs at good temperatures, even with it's hot processor. Haven't had any actual issues so far, no BSoD or any kind of system hang. Everything has been smooth. Of course, expect the system to be loud since those fans need to keep the gpu and cpu at proper working temperatures. It's best to use headphones when gaming. If you're doing lightwork or just browsing the web, it's very quiet. It's also bulky, as all other gaming laptops, so I wouldn't recommend it if you need a laptop for work that you'll be traveling with constantly.

Great laptop with midrange performance!!!
Amazing laptop at the time of purchase still going very strong. Plays all triple A games with easy. Amazing screen very responsive and low latency. No issues. The only Draw back is the how loud the fans are when the PC is pushed to its limits. As is the case for most laptops technology. That’s the price to pay vs desktops huge amazing fans that are quiet. Battery life is good under normal use. I baby this thing so I am not fit to rate the durability but it looks very sturdy and industrial look. Best value for the money for sure. Love this laptop I use to replace my out of date desktop thank you ASUS for amazing products.

Awesome all around
Best investment in a long time. I absolutely love the screen size and clarity. The sound is amazing; I hear many animal noises in the game that I had missed previously. This machine has given me a much deeper appreciation of the games, as I learned how much I was missing with a smaller screen and lesser computer. Set-up was easy as is using it on a daily basis. Seems very durable, has a substantial feel and weight to it. I'd buy again!

Ultimate Powerhouse for Architecture and Gaming!
I purchased the ROG Strix SCAR 18 (G835) for my professional work in Revit, 3ds Max, and for high-end gaming. After two weeks of use, I am absolutely blown away. Pros: Performance: The Intel Core i9 and RTX graphics handle heavy BIM models and rendering in V-Ray/Twinmotion without breaking a sweat. It’s a true desktop replacement. Display: The 18-inch Nebula HDR display is gorgeous. The colors are accurate enough for my design work, and the 240Hz refresh rate makes gaming incredibly smooth. Cooling: Even under heavy load, the Intelligent Cooling system keeps temperatures stable. The fans can be loud in Turbo mode, but the performance trade-off is worth it. Build Quality: It feels premium and solid. The RGB lighting is customizable and looks stunning on my desk. Cons: It's a large machine, so you'll need a big backpack, but that’s expected for an 18-inch beast. Verdict: If you are an architect, 3D artist, or a hardcore gamer, this is the best laptop money can buy in 2026. Highly recommended!
