great potting material for my orchid! I recommend pouring out some soil onto a surface to distribute the wood chips, stones, potting material, so that you get an even amount of each when you mix the material together. It holds water really well, excellent for drainage. Very easy to use. I don’t think that there was a smell, I didn’t recall any odd smell. I worked on my soil and plant outside. overall, it’s really good for the plant and the orchid transplanted really well.

I make my chunky potting mix in advance, so I love this big bag. It’s so easy to put it in the bucket with good soil, and perlite for good drainage. There isn’t a smell and it’s bug free!

I know nothing about orchids, but bought this to repot one for my 90 year old friend. Seems to be good quality and water drains well through the potting medium. There was no lingering order, easy to work with.

This is a perfect blend for not only orchids but for Venus fly traps. The soil is not premixed for a reason. It's separated so that you can custom blend the ratio for which ever type of plant you are growing or repotting. Yes the soil is dry for good reason also. You would not want this type of soil to be premoistened. Because it could easily turn moldy and rancid becoming a host for some nasty thing's you don't want in your plants. I haven't used it yet, I plan on using it today for starting Venus fly trapS. I have pictures but for some reason it won't let me upload. It comes with A instruction manual and a thank you card with a discount, all inside a Ziplock bag seperate from the soil mixture. Which is nice making sure its not dusty to handle.

The size was somewhat small, the color was attractive, and the soil quality was acceptable. The growth rate is still to be determined, and the functionality is mediocre, as well as the storage capacity, which is not very impressive.

Seems to be a good media for growing orchids... I'm gonna give it a try n see how I like it... its a real dry and w the rocks and bark, its not gonna and doesn't hold much moisture. Good for letting the roots breathe and air out... my opinion id like to see more of the moss stuff in there... I'll see how this n how plant does
