The add for the product states "glass bowls" they sound plastic to me. Very disappointed - will find some other use in the garage or somewhere ??

We entertain at our house a lot, and I am always looking for new dishes to use for our parties and get togethers. These glass bowls are going to be really nice for entertaining.The glass is a medium-weight glass. It is very smooth and there are no seams. They feel sturdy - not overly fragile feeling.The bowls hold just 6-ounces, so they are quite small. I think this size will work well for desserts, condiments, and dips. They also work well as individual candy bowls for parties.The bowls can be washed in the dishwasher, but they are also easy enough to handwash. I like that they can be used in the microwave.I especially love that the bowls are clear glass. We often use white bowls for our parties, and while I love the white bowls for many things, it's nice to have a clear glass bowl once in a while to show off certain desserts and food items.We will definitely get a lot of use out of these bowls! I do recommend them.

Beautiful, small glasses
Arrived well packaged and without damage. This six-glass set is made of clear, shiny, thin glass, and it is also quite delicate. There were no bubbles, scratches, or flaws on any of the glasses. I love the small, square size and that they are perfect as dessert dishes. Not only desserts, but also for fruit or, my personal purpose, as cocktail and water glasses for entertaining outdoors on the patio. I love the simple, but upscale style, and I'm excited to show them off to my friends and guests.
