Can it be used on an induction cooker?

Hi, It should work very well with an induction hob adaptor. The adaptor will work as a heat diffuser and will heat the tagine evenly and stop the food from burning. I use a heat diffuser on my gas hob with my clay tagine so yes a induction hob adaptor should act in the same way.

Is there actually a steam hole in the lid or is it just a fake one?

No there is an actual hole to allow for the steam release.

What do the dimensions refer to (28x34x24) as this is a round pot?

The dimensions are in cm. So H=24cm, W=34cm, internal diameter of the pot is 28cm

how deep in the actual dish part

About an inch and half.. Can easily cook half kg of meat..
