Extremely Impressive- I didn’t think they’d be as good as they are!
I got these as a lower-cost replacement for the 1st generation AirPods Pro that I had used for a few years (before one of the pods finally met its unfortunate demise), and I’d say they’re just about as good all-around as those were. The fact that these are a quarter of the price of the AirPods Pro is certainly astounding, and I’m legitimately very impressed. I have always thought highly of Anker/Soundcore’s products, but I bought these for $36 (on sale) and certainly did not expect them to be THIS good LOLSound quality: While the sound quality is not quite as good as the AirPods Pro, I found the smart EQ feature on the Soundcore app to be EXTREMELY helpful in getting the p40i earbuds to sound much better. The noise-cancellation of these p40i is also comparable to that of the AirPods Pro 1st gen in my opinion, given that you fit them properly into your ears (and I’m often in a noisy environment). I am happy with the way these sound; I own an expensive pair of over-the-ear headphones and I am generally picky about sound. When I do wear earBUDS though, I am not super super picky, and I just want something that can (1) be easily connected to my device (2) have long battery life (3) be durable, water-resistant. Basically, for earbuds, I’m looking for a workhorse, and these do the job while sounding excellent for the price!Battery life and Durability: I wear these earbuds A LOT (I can hear street noise inside my house at all hours, and wearing earbuds helps me to focus); while walking, exercising, cleaning, cooking, and also while showering (when I am not submerging my head in water of course), and the p40i have been perfect for all of those! The battery life is incredible, even after months of daily use- the battery life of the p40i is definitely better than that of the 1st gen AP Pros (which struggled to maintain even 2 hrs use even when fully charged after 2 yrs). They are definitely water-resistant and durable as well, having survived multiple instances of light water exposure and multiple drops. I have not kept the case in any sort of protector, and there are essentially no visible scratches on the exterior (again, this is another category in which the p40i offers better performance in my opinion than Apple’s airpods).Connectivity + conclusion: I used to think only Apple products could connect so seamlessly to my iPhone (which is a major selling point of Apple’s Airpods), but these p40i changing my mind! 98% of the time, I am connecting these to my iPhone 14. Connection is seamless, and I have only had to fully re-pair my phone and the p40i once in 5 months of ownership (pairing is also incredibly easy). Also, I have a Dell laptop and a Surface Pro (Windows OS), and the connectivity between my computers and the p40i is a much nicer experience than that of my computers and the Apple AirPods. Conclusion: Honestly, I will not be buying any AirPods device again because of the experience I have had with the p40i- although Airpods work great and are nice, I’ve accepted that earbuds in general just won’t last forever with daily use, so it doesn’t make sense to spend over $100 on them. In 2-3 years when I’m ready for new earbuds, I will likely buy one of Soundcore’s more expensive models as I am truly impressed with the overall quality of these budget-friendly p40i earbuds!

INCREDIBLE Bluetooth Earbuds at a GREAT Price!
Unsurprisingly, Anker has done it again. These Bluetooth earbuds are absolutely incredible. I own over 30 Anker/Soundcore products and I swear by them. Amongst these products are two (well used) pairs of Soundcore Life P3’s. I love them because of the sound quality, volume level, size, and battery life. While browsing anker’s products, I happened upon these Soundcore Life P40i Bluetooth earbuds and I was immediately interested. Knowing the great quality of all of my previously purchased Anker products and, considering these P40i’s were on sale, I figured I couldn’t go wrong. Boy was I correct. These earbuds are amazing. Unlike other brands of earbuds I’ve tried, these things get loud; not loud to the point that you’ll hurt your ears or be unable to withstand it, but loud enough that you won’t be wishing you could turn them up more. The smart noise cancellation feature is really neat. I’m in construction so the noise levels vary greatly from day to day. The smart noise cancellation keeps up by changing the type of ANC. It’s really cool. Another feature I like and one that differs from the Life P3’s is the small little nub located on the earbuds’ “touch-control” zone. It’s very convenient. In addition, there’s an audible beep when you successfully tap for touch control which has absolutely zero delay. This is great to me because it confirms whether or not you actually touched the earbud. I posted a few side by side photos of these Soundcore P40i’s and one pair of my Soundcore Life P3’s because I wanted to know the size difference in the earbuds and the case and couldn’t find any reviews mentioning it or information elsewhere mentioning it. In case anyone is interested, the P40i’s case is a little bit smaller and the earbuds’ themselves are slightly shorter. It’s great because the P40i’s are EVEN MORE compact. The battery life of these is the best; bar none. 10h per earbud per charge. I have yet to hear the “battery low” alert. The addition of the phone stand clip within the case is ingenious and a new feature that I love. I watch lots of movies and tv shows on my phone. Now, rather than holding my phone, I can put it in the P40i’s case in front of me. It’s a small feature but works wonders for my use. Lastly, the sound quality of these earbuds is insane. There are enough preset EQ options to make everybody happy but it doesn’t stop there. You can go through the soundcore app to do a hearing test and create an EQ catered to your specific level of hearing. In addition, once you’ve completed the hearing IQ, you can tweak your custom EQ setting even further by adding a preset EQ on top of it, or manually altering it yourself. I’d by 10 pairs of these if I could. For anyone out there that’s even considering these earbuds as an option, just buy them already. You will NOT be disappointed. That’s a guarantee. Great job Anker/Soundcore!

Fantastic! But loose.
I love everything about these earbuds!! ...with one notable exception. After four years with my Soundcore Anker Life A2 NC earbuds, which I absolutely LOVE, I wanted to see if I could get a better noise cancellation with something newer. I primarily use my A2s for listening to music while I mow the lawn. Why not be entertained as I protect my hearing? I went with these P40i because not only do they have active noise cancelling but adaptive as well. I was immediately impressed. The sound is creamy and deep. The look and weight is bang on. The app is intuitive. Setup was a breeze. Bluetooth connectivity is instant. The noise cancelling is noticeable. Battery life is very good. And then I tried mowing with them. They simply will not stay put. They come with several of the rubber tips in various sizes. I tried a few. No matter how good the fit is, they would not stay put. Simply stated, there is nothing but the friction of that tip to keep the device tight in your ear. If they aren't tight, then ambient noise leaks through. ANC defeated! Once you sweat or bend forward, they get loose, and in comes the outside noise. You will find yourself fiddling with them, listening to them beep from the touch control you're not actually trying to activate. That's a big fail for me. My A2s have a small rubber bit that keeps the bud pressed into your ear. The P40i does not.If you want something good for daily use like at the library or on a subway or maybe while jogging, these will do wonderfully. If you want something to keep the noise of a lawn mower out so you don't need to turn the volume all the way up to hear anything, these will disappoint.
