You can't go wrong with the The ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III 420
The ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III 420 A-RGB is an outstanding water-cooling solution that has significantly improved my PC's thermal performance. The cooling power of this unit is remarkable, keeping my CPU temperatures impressively low even under heavy loads. The large 420mm radiator, combined with the powerful fans, provides excellent airflow, ensuring that my system stays cool and stable during demanding tasks. The A-RGB lighting adds a sleek, customizable touch to my build, making it not only a high-performing piece of hardware but also visually appealing. The lighting effects are vibrant and smooth, and they integrate well with the rest of my RGB setup. Installation was straightforward, and I appreciated the quality of the components, from the tubing to the fans. The included VRM fan control is a nice bonus, allowing for quiet operation when full power isn't needed. Overall, the ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III 420 A-RGB delivers exceptional cooling performance with the added flair of customizable lighting. It's an excellent choice for anyone looking to keep their system cool while adding some visual appeal to their build

They set the bar so high.... yet managed to improve on their previous model
I have had previous experience of using an Arctic Freezer II 420mm so my expectations were somewhat raised due its quality and capability.....They were meat, and so more. Take a look at my photos. Firstly......this is just about me I guess, but I am not a fan of their peculiar shaped box that contains the cooler. You try and get it back in if you need to store or return one, even with many photos taken as a guide. That is most certainly a challenge, lol. anyway...... fitting this cooler to my Z60 motherboard, check compatibility of AC website, and mine was determined to be fine, was overall most easy. Just taking my time and following their excellent animated type guides that can be found on their website. I watched on my phone, whilst fitting the cooler in my PC, motherboard not removed but a piece of firm sponge placed under the rear of the motherboard to anticipate the removal of the latch mechanism for installing the contact frame. I preferred to fit the 420mm radiator in the top of my Meshify 2 XL case, after fitting the supplied contact frame, before fitting the block to the contact frame. For me that worked well. I decided to use individual controls for the radiator fans, pump and vrm fan - you can see the software that I use to control these fans in a photo that I have uploaded. When at idle or typical light loads the PC is very much silent in use. When playing games, depending on the load on the CPU, the additional ramping up of the fans and pump kinda equates the sound from the game, so nothing excessive. The GPU also ramps up (RTX 4080) its fans and so nothing excessive in terms of noise is noted. I run my 14700k wit ha negative offset of voltage of -0.075v and with that I can see temperatures around 15c at least under TDP on the hottest cores when running Cinebench R23. That is within a room with an ambient temperature of around 20c. I am very impressed with the cooling, build quality, ARGB aspect of the unit, and ease of installation. If I had to think of negatives, even with 450mm of pipe length it can seem a little of a stretch in my very large case. Then again compared to other AIO's these are considered to be long. The plug for the A-RGB should be labelled, it is blank. Be careful when fitting the radiator it is easy enough to catch one of the cables on the side of the fans as they will disconnect from each other, you might not notice. It is a pain to have to completely remove the radiator, this happened to me, due to the RGB lighting not working as the cable became disconnected. If they were latched in their connection then all would be well. If you hear any rattling wounds, during transport and storage etc these units will collect a little air around the pump area, then just give it a few days and it should resolve. I just gently rocked my case back and forth a few times, when it was fitted, and all is fine. Very much recommended and I do hope this review has helped you.

A fantastic cooler, performing well and looking great.
I purchased the 420mm black version. I prefer to highlight the bad points first. With this, there are only two issues. The first issue is aesthetics. The CPU block has a really interesting looking design with great RGB. The illuminated fanblade design is not a fan, it is just a piece of translucent plastic, the actual fan is a regular black fan hidden beneath. This isn't a huge issue, but aesthetically the visuals of moving blades are more interesting than the fixed blade design. What you see in the images is static and what you will see in your PC. The second issue is the supplied 420mm fans. To begin with, these fans are very much for this cooler. The cables on them, both ARGB and PWM, are very short - less than 10cm. The second issue isn't so much an issue but something to note - they are 28mm thick 140mm fans. The majority of 140mm fans are 25mm thick, so replacing them also means replacing the screws. The replacement screws are a little inconvenient in size - I used 6-32 x 1-1/4 which seem perfect. Aside from that it performs exceptionally well. My bios settings are not perfect but I get stable all core boosting of a 5950X at 4.7GHZ sitting at roughly 70-75c package temp. Idle with pump and fans on low enough not to really notice is around 37-45, ambient is 18-21c. This is far better than my previous 360MM fractal prisma AIO.

Cool and quiet, like Keanu Reeves
Installed in Be Quiet Shadow Base 800 DX, at the top of the case and set to extraction mode (the default). Installation was easy enough, just follow the steps on the website. I've not used any kind of cooling beyond basic fans and heatsinks before but it was a simple job getting it fitted. After the initial gurgle the first time it's fired up it's whisper quiet. I'm using it with a Core i5 13600k so it's not exactly being challenged, but I got it with future CPU upgrades in mind. The CPU temperature barely hits 30 currently. RGB can be controlled from the UEFI and it also plays nicely with Signal RGB. What I really wanted was a quiet system and this does the job thanks to the 140mm fans.

Nice n cool
Working well after a rough start but yesterday the fans started to make an unusual noise. Hopefully just a minor issue and not something bigger. It was a toss up between thus one and the Corsair version but decided on this one having a thicker radiator and after reading other reviews. Pleased so far as long as the noise abates

Oh boy, what a BAD product! Positives: 1. It keeps the temos low on a 9950X 2. It looks great! Problems: 1. It is a nightmare to install (Cheap Chinese coolers are easoer and fit better 2. 1st cooler had a fan issue out of the box 3. Second cooler died after 23 hours - the pumo detonated 4. The pipes are near unmoveably stiff 5. It has NO controling software 6. Stock fans are dreadful 7. Instructions for installation (first time I needed any in 20 years) are the worst I have ever seen

This AIO is installed on a 14900K in an Antec Performance1 FT case. Upgrading from a CoolerMaster ML280 with upgraded fans and contact frame. Results of testing and my impressions of the product below: Installed two more fans in push/pull and it dropped a few C and a few watts. Did not install a fan in the lower position because of clearance issues. Might get a slim fan, there is about 26mm of clearance on the inside in the Antec case. (Or potentially case mod.) // Running 56x in Cinebench, Open case, open front. 100% fans. 24C ambient. CoolerMaster ML280 w/ 2x Artic P140 Bionix and Thermalrite contact frame: (R23: 41216, 86C, 272W) Arctic LF3 420 w/ 3x stock A-RGB fans, front mount: (R23: 41153, 77C, 264W) Arctic LF3 420 plus 2x Antec Storm 140 in push/pull: (R23: 41228, 74C, 260W) (This result is very close to the "250W" benchmark performed by STS with his 6x push/pull on a 13900K. In his review he shows that a push/pull setup makes the LF3 best in class, especially when considering noise/performance.) There are 3x stock Arctic A-rgb fans on the outside, and 2x Antec Storm T3 fans on the inside. The Antec Storm fans are not really SP fans, but they have good specs otherwise and are 30mm. Overall 12C lower than what I had before with the upgraded 280mm and Thermalrite contact frame. With non-rgb SP fans in six positions it should do even better. I am happy with this. For $120 this is equivalant to other top performers like the EK Nucleus CR360 or Lian Li Galahad II. I have the option to run 57x or (maybe) 58x, or can probably tune a silent 56x profile. The RGB pump cover looks great and while it is not a spinning fan, it has the same look as RGB fans, so it doesn't introduce anything distracting. No infinity mirrors or weird "objects" in your case. Looks like just another fan and can be set to look like them. The tubes are quite a bit longer than the previous AIO and have no problem looping around to a front install. There is plenty of slack in the Antec Performance1 FT case. Gamers Nexus was critical of the Arctic Contact Frame, and did some sort of lazer scan to prove there wasn't even pressure everywhere (unknown how he came to this conclusion), but you have to take everything as a whole. The performance is good, and its idling 2C lower than it did before, so I think contact is good. If you didn't watch the GN video, you might think the installation is excellent, as do I. There isn't a separate bracket to install, just the contact frame, so this makes alot of sense to simplify installation. And nothing was janky or loose. It tightened down in a confidence inspiring way. You also get the vrm cooling which may help the lifespan of your motherboard. I won't claim this is best in class (it might lose to an EK 360 in push pull), but everything it gives you for introductory $120 price is a great deal. If you can fit a 420, this is almost a no brainer unless you plan to run direct die. When they raise the price back to msrp, I think thats the point you maybe consider an EK direct die aio, or maybe an EK CR360 if you can't fit a 420. Finally, there is the six year warranty from a company with a good reputation. I would recommend this. I had reservations initially, but after the install, seeing it in my build and the performance that it gives, makes me glad I took a risk. I was able to get the RGB wired correctly without an extension, but there is absolutely no extra slack and cable runs are not ideal. If they just made the RGB connection 2" longer it would alleviate the "head scratcher" everyone will encounter when doing a front mount. (When fans are front installed, the integrated RGB cable loops over the top of the radiator which makes it too short.) It will be interesting if Arctic improves this product in the future. Certainly, better fans would make it even stronger, but any performance gap is probably remedied by push/pull. And if you have a case that fits a 420mm AIO, you probably also have the space to make it push/pull.
