Q: I was thinking of string up this speaker from my ceiling. Would you guys recommend that?

I wouldn't recommend that as there is a connection at the bottom for the stand

Q: Buttons wont respond. Power turns it on after that nothing not even able to turn it off. Am i missing something?

Have you plugged the usb in to charge it? Do you see the 2 orange buttons towards the back of the saucer section,thr one on the port side turns it on for me. If your trying bluetooth over a pc go to settings bluetooth and let your pc search for NCC1701D. Thats all i can think of,

Q: How is the scale compared to Diamond Select ships?

As far as scale ours is 12" and I think diamonds is about 16" long. I think they require a more bulky double pronged base and our version is only one connection point.
