Extremely reliable. Very good app and interface. Has all options without extra charge like baby cry detection, motion detection, etc. Subscription is required only for cloud stirage if needed. Else we can add SD card and use local storage for no charge. Clarity is very good and very responsive. Easily connects to alexa and google assistant.

The camera has outstanding video quality and is very easy to control through the mobile app. It sends all the necessary notifications, making it convenient to monitor the surroundings anytime. I highly recommend purchasing a memory card, since it’s not included in the package but is required for recording videos. Overall, a great security camera for peace of mind.

Xiaomi is so underrated. Their products are all top notch quality. After having used so many other brand of cameras i am extremely happy with this one, does exactly what is promised and the quality is brilliant. Esp love the physical lens blocking feature to ensure privacy when needed.

Do not buy this camera if you intend to use it in Europe, at least in France. It is interesting to note that it came with a label "for malaysian market only" on the box, but with a EU plug. I had a lot of difficulties to connect it to my Xiaomi App and it disconnects regularly at various intervals. Can be every 12h, 24h or some time after 7 days. But it doesn't seem to be really random intervals. It is also not able to reboot correctly after a WiFi reset, a reboot from the Xiaomi App or a power shutdown. I tried to block my wifi on 2.4 GHz, block the wifi canal and lock its ip address. Nothing worked ... And of course, I was not able du to travel to return it on time on Amazon. And since this time it is alsmost unusable as I hardly reset it when I am in Europe but it works only for a few hours or days when I am back in Dubai. I have 4 different types of Xiaomi cameras in my european home, and I struggle with absolutly none of them, they are all always working as expected and come back online quickly after any interuption. All of them except this C700 ... I have seen that Xiaomi released a C701 which is supposed to be design for the european market, I hope it works better. Indeed, when it works, the C700 is great but it is never for long.

Picture quality is good. Sound / microphone is okay and works well for a small room. Biggest drawback - You cannot power off the camera - you can only cover the lens (it goes in the outer body - but the camera is on consuming power and getting heated. Also it gives a creepy feeling that someone can always monitor you even if the camera lens is covered. Once I even heard the camera motor moving in the night - as if it was being controlled remotely - but the camera had not moved.
