I love the Summer Bridge books

I love the Summer Bridge books! They do a great job of reviewing information from the previous grade as well as introducing new concepts to be covered in the next grade. I also find that the task of taking fifteen to twenty minutes a day to focus on a scholastic task helps ease the transition back to school in the Fall after a long Summer holiday. There is an age-appropriate reading list in the beginning of the book that provides lots of suggestions to give direction to Summer library trips as well.
