Nice and private on my front door 👍☺️
I moved into a house which had very slightly opaque glass in the front door which gave no privacy. Anyone could just look in my hallway. I bought this whilst waiting for the front door to be replaced and I wasn’t expecting much but I’ve been really pleased. It was so easy to put up, I ensured the window was completely clean with alcohol cleaner and cut this to size. I made sure the surface was nice and soapy and removed the back sheet with the handy pads included and within minutes I had a high performing and durable screen over my window. It blocks so much out but at the same time I’ve also noticed the sun reflects off the film and illuminates my hallway more than ever before, it’s appearance is great and the light reflecting properties are a bonus. The only annoying thing was the bubbles, I spent ages removing them, but I am a completely perfectionist.Super pleased with this film, it’s so versatile I’m using it on other windows! Totally worth the money.

Overall good product.
Item came promptly and had no defects. The application was relatively easy but I still have lots of bubbles that I did not manage to lay out (however it might be more of a lack of skill than anything about the product). I normally have a net curtain over it, so it is not a big issue. The film does not disturb the natural light and offers an adequate level of discretion from outside. However, when the lights turn on in the evening, it does allow for some shadow and silhouette to be observed from outside. Nevertheless, at the point the lights are on, we lower the blinds so that evens it out. When the item arrives it is folded in a tube, however when it is laid out, it unfolds nicely and without creases. The only thing that was peculiar was the choice to send it out, in the massive box pictured. Funny story the delivery driver left this box under my door mat! (????)Anyhow, the product is fit for purpose and at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend it!! 👍

Honestly, very easy application, great quality and works perfectly!
Was dreading tussling with this, as had used a similar static-cling frosted film before, which was thin and kept sticking to itself, and was a mass of air bubbles nomatter what. However, my new rental flat has dodgy blinds and I need as close to perfect darkness as possible to sleep, so needs must.I armed myself with hot water in a spray bottle, a craft knife and a full-sized shower squeegee (this helped hugely compared to trying to use a little credit card sized thing so advise investing in one at the pound shop). I had nobody to help, but my windows aren’t huge and I managed just fine.Soaked the whole window with water first and peeled down the first few inches of the backing before positioning film on the window (shiny side goes to the window!). This film is really good and thick and stayed put well. I squeegeed down as I continued removing the backing. It was done in no time, and no bubbles! Now I did make the error of over-trimming on my first window. Because of how the double glazing unit is, light was getting in the edges. It’s better to leave larger and persuade the film to bend into the edges. As it’s super thick it takes a little coaxing. You can nick the corners with a craft knife to help. Where I had over trimmed at the bottom I just added some black electrical tape once the water had dried, and that has worked fine. I did initially take it off and re position to centralise a bit more, and again that wasn’t difficult. It’s been up a week now and shows no signs of peeling. However, having peeled off to re position I’m confident it will come off easily and leave no trace once I move out. There is no glue, just works with static. Everywhere the film is, it is totally light-proof even with bright sunshine right outside. Absolutely perfect. Suggest leaving around 1cm/1.5cm extra all round the edges compared to your window measurement, so it’s not too unmanageably large to work with, but you have some to bend into the window frame and a bit of contingency if you’re not quite centralised. A strip of black electrical tape down any edge that you mess up will complete the job. I’m so happy with results and really wish I had discovered this before in my life! Blackout curtains and blinds have always only worked so well and ‘leaked’ round the edges. This stuff is cheap and perfect!

Perfect product at a great price to give privacy
THis worked great , limited bubbling extremely limited follow the instructions :) It gives privacy and adds a nice level of effect to the window. I have had no issues with mould discolouration at all or any type of concern i had with something being fixed in that environment. Far as ease of install no issues took two of us tbh to make look good one cut as other one applied etc and smoothed. Product quality good and is lasting no hesitation is a winnerAdded photos where used

Great stuff but...
This UV film works a treat and really is great stuff but... If you are using just water on the windows and film then it can be really tricky to get it all flattened out evenly without any imperfections. This was a costly £20 mistake for me which meant I had to order more. When using just water you cannot then remove parts of it from the window and refit it if you get it the slightest bit wrong, it will damage the film and really kick off any OCD compulsion you may have.IF FITTING BY YOURSELF -1. make sure you spray the film as you remove the backing, as to weigh it down with water so it doesn't fold over on itself (thank me later).2. Use soapy water rather than just water as this makes the process so much easier to fit, however you can notice the difference when finished as it gives the window a glossy/wavy kind of effect. Whereas just water will make looking through the UV film crystal clear.3. If laying the film on the floor to spray prior to fitting then be aware that hairs may find their way in between the film and the window, luckily though if using soapy water it becomes really easy to peel the film back once on the window so that you can remove any hairs or dust.4. Fitting this UV film can take a fair bit of time so remember to be patient!Overall it does fit well and is easy to use (once you know what you are doing)Based on how much faff it was to fit and the time I spent, I would say this is worth an easy 4 stars
