The PC That Doesn't Catch Fire and Works Better Than I Do – A Cautionary Tale
My Computer: The Infernal MachineLet me tell you; I've had my PC since the days when 56k dial-up was the pinnacle of connectivity. But even my first beige behemoth never managed to do what my last one did – become a certified fire hazard (luckily the fire department professionals were able to douse the flames and only leave a mild set of scorch marks where it used to stand). So, there I was. Homeless in the digital sense. And as a dedicated remote worker fiercely committed to my mouse-jiggling regimen, my lack of a 120lb computer was a bigger threat to my paycheck than a power outage. Hence, Amazon Prime became my knight in shining armor. Or at least, the delivery driver did.Enter the AWOW Mini PC. It's smaller than a breadbox with the weight of a chunky chihuahua. Frankly, it looked like a fancy paperweight. But let me tell you, this little guy had a sting. Plus with Amazon Prime (and having a distribution center right up the road) I got almost same day delivery {which I needed like another hole in the head ASAP or else my boss would dock me some pay). The Setup: When Expectation Met RealityNow, my old tower was the kind of rig enthusiasts drool over. RGB lights, custom liquid cooling setup – the works. Setting it up was a day-long affair. But this new mini-PC? Plug and play. Which was simultaneously a relief and an insult. I mean, where's the challenge? Where's the opportunity for me to complain about insufficient instruction manuals? It's also frighteningly quiet. No reassuring whirl of fans that screamed "I'm expending massive amounts of power!" So, naturally, my paranoid, fire-traumatized self was certain this would go one of two ways:It wouldn't work at all.It would combust with the intensity of a small star.Thankfully, it was neither.A (Surprisingly) Fiery PerformanceThis tiny terror boots up faster than I can make a decent cup of coffee. Suddenly, the software I use for "work" launched smoothly enough to make me question if I'd somehow fallen into an alternate dimension. My spreadsheets ran without stuttering, my video calls were crisp, and most importantly, I was able to install the latest versions of Microsoft Teams and Slack without issue. My mouse jiggled merrily, fooling the powers-that-be into believing I was paying rapt attention to whatever corporate jargon was being thrown around. After getting those essentials set up, it continued to look like I was online – bonus points for my boss hardly noticing I was MIA during the fiery PC inferno interlude. The most shocking part? It didn't try to spontaneously ignite. Sure, it gets a little warm – chihuahua-after-a-zoomies warm, not surface-of-the-sun warm like my old PC.Buyer Beware: It Might Do Your Job Better Than YouThe AWOW is frighteningly capable. It may be tiny, but it has the tenacity of a honey badger with a toothache. The downside? It makes me look incompetent. I went from barely scraping by to having time left over at the end of the day. If the boss notices, she may start expecting me to, you know, actually be productive. The horror! The VerdictThis mini PC is a demon in disguise. It has speed, storage, and connectivity that shouldn't be legal for its weight class. It's even suspiciously quiet and fire-resistant. Honestly, I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop, I'm sure there's a catch… like it's building a sentient AI army inside that compact case. If the robots take over, you know who to blame. Until then, I'll be begrudgingly enjoying the productivity boost while keeping a wary eye on it.

Very good product
I bought this purely for gaming because I never bought one before. I had trouble with my Xbox and was thinking about replacing it. But I had several of those and I had several PS systems. I found this give you the best of both worlds and actually access to even more games. I also found some surprises I did not know about. One of them beings how it instantly was able to hook to my phone without me even trying to do it. That was a huge plus and all the programs run more efficiently than all my laptop that I've always been using.

MGI9 mini pc
I'm quite impressed with this little machine. After 12 years my custom built gaming PC finally bit the Dust. The idea of assembling parts and doing all of that was not really on my radar this time around.Mainly what I do now is edit music and video. Not so much gaming anymore. But I'm pretty sure this thing would probably hold its own running a few games. Haven't tried it yet though.2.5 gig ethernet is awesome. It's got space for an additional SSD. A plethora of USB ports. Plus a DisplayPort and a USB C.I encountered no problems with setup. And the I9 chip is spanking fast.I haven't really opened it up to look at the fan either. But it's got a pretty aggressive heat sink from what I can tell looking through the side vents. Doesn't take up a lot of space.Overall I'm very happy with it so far.

This is by far the largest number of review ratings.
Great little computer as I read it. I notice a bunch of four star reviews, but I don't see my review anywhere. It is a one star review and I added pictures of implied and warranty information. Also all the negative reviews there when I wrote mine are gone. May 28, 2025 Let's see how long this one lasts.

A Wow! Great little computer!
I have to take a moment to say that this is a great little computer. It does everything I need it to do and does it quietly and relatively fast. I have had the opportunity to interact with the customer care team on two different occasions, and I have to say that it has been a delightful experience each time. They are professional, respectful, and prompt. The only downside to the computer is that the method of VESA attachment to the back of my monitor was not possible. I may be able to purchase a mounting plate to attach it to the screw mounting points on the monitor and the computer chassis.
