CamelBak Eddy+ Insulated Stainless Steel Bite Valve Straw Water Bottle

This is the second time I’ve purchased the Eddy. The first one lasted about 3 years but would’ve lasted much longer if I had not banged it into everything and dropped it. It was chipped and dented but still stayed as cold for hours and hours.When I finally bought a new one a few weeks ago, I saw another brand and it was less expensive and had great reviews so I thought, why not? Big mistake. After two weeks I sent it back and ordered by second Camelbak and couldn’t be happier. I packed that full of ice and was able to refill twice without needing more ice. Bonus for being leakproof. Just need to offer some fun colors and prints. 🙂

Prior to this water bottle I had the CamelBak Podium Chill Easy Squeeze Bottle and the water had a plastic taste. I switched to this insulated stainless steel one and it's much better. The water stays cold for hours and it tastes great!

First off, most of the people complaining about “issues with the straw” are probably just not used to drinking out of the CamelBak mouthpiece.Before you try to take your first sip out of the new water bottle, bite down on the mouthpiece with your back teeth and you’re good to go.Does it keep your drink cold?Yep. It will keep your drink cold for 24+ hours, ice melts about 8-20 hours depending on how much there is.Is it well built?Yep. I own many CamelBak products, and they’ve all been high quality. The cap is very sturdy and fits snugly on the bottle.Is it leakproof?Yep. As long as the cap is on securely, it’s not going to leak.How does it look?It’s a very handsome bottle. The coating seems durable. I purchased the navy one and love the color.Final thoughts…I really like it. It’s easy to grip, easy to flip up the mouthpiece, and easy to drink from (I’m hoping this will help me drink more water!). I’m happy with my purchase. This is just as sturdy (if not more) than more expensive bottles. Feels good in the hand. Plus, when your mouthpiece gets old, you can get a replacement anywhere.5 out of 5 stars.

Keeps drinks cold and doesn’t spill when it tips over.

As a parent, I’m extremely particular about the water bottles my kids use. It’s not that the other options on the market aren’t functional — many of them are. But most come with way too many tiny parts, valves, and nooks that are a nightmare to clean, especially if you’re trying to avoid mold buildup or residue over time.That’s why I was so pleasantly surprised by the CamelBak water container. It’s thoughtfully designed with just three pieces — yes, only three! Ok, maybe four if you count the actual bottle. That means no hidden compartments or tiny rubber bits to disassemble. I can clean it thoroughly and quickly using a small baby bottle brush or sponge. It’s been such a relief not having to soak and scrub endlessly just to feel like the bottle is truly clean.On top of that, it’s durable, kid-proof, and doesn’t leak. If you're a parent who's had it with complicated water bottles, I can’t recommend this one enough.

I have been using this daily for a year, as a summer camp counselor, caregiver and teacher.What I Like:- It doesn’t have that taste/ smell that some metal bottles have- Working outside, I usually only have to refill with ice once a day.- I left it in my car and the metal was hot to the touch but water inside was still cold.- Leakproof (unless you lose a piece of the lid like I did)- Takes a beating wellWhat I don’t like:- Hard to clean. The lid comes apart, but the inside of the bite valve, as well as the lid itself, has a lot of spots for water to get trapped and mold. It’s dishwasher safe, but I usually have to hand wash first, then send it through the dishwasher to get rid of the soap taste.- Replacement bite valves are expensive and hard to source.- Over time, the straw hinge gets loose and no longer stays down. There is no cover for the straw, so the straw gets really dirty.

This is my favorite water bottle. Nicely insulated, as are most bottles. The spout is the big differentiator. It can be easily opened with the same hand holding the bottle, and also is well designed so even laying on its side when open will not leak. This makes the bottle perfect for using when driving, as you can keep one hand on the wheel at all times.

I have launched this water bottle off the back of my ebike numerous times. The bottle holder on the bike bag is a joke. The Camelbak shows minimal damage, no leaks, and still keeps the water as cold as when it was poured into it. It has become my go to water bottle. A plastic bottle doesn’t cut it after using this one.
