Did tool did the trick for getting up anything that was left on our floor after we removed the ceramic tile. Great little tool!

A good and useful tool
This concrete grinder is very easy to use, effective, and seems to be well made. Before I used it I sought out demo videos and that helped a lot. Although I worked for a lot of years doing carpentry, this is my first time with concrete. Surprisingly, it was a lot like using an orbital sander. If you're going to rely on the dust hose, you might want to hook it up to a shop vac because, by itself, it doesn't vent the dust very well. I wore ear protection, eye protection, and a respirator mask. My only real complaint about this tool is the instruction booklet which is written in a micro font with tiny diagrams. The organization of the booklet is good, but it needs bigger diagrams, bigger typeface and a once-over by an editor to fix the English.

A beast that gets the job DONE!!!
This thing is a beast! We had some very tough mortar to remove from concrete after taking up tile. There was a lot of ground to cover and we were pretty nervous because the hammer drill wasn't making a dent in it. This thing was awesome right out of the box. I read the reviews that the include blade wasn't great so I bought a highly rated one. But we started with the included one and it's doing great. The hood is made of plastic but it doesn't matter. The rest of the tool is very solid and very heavy. The motor is powerful. I appreciate the stabilizer handle on top but it could be a little stronger as I want to put more downward pressure on the tool. It creates a silly amount of dust. We had the tornado vacuum hooked up to the vent and kept the room air extractor close by. Absolutely need hearing, eye, and dust protection. Love this new tool.

Very rugged
Very rugged and definitely grinds concrete. If you haven't used one of these and are working in a habitable space (like a basement with people living in the rest of the house), here are some helpful tips: 1) Absolutely use a shop vac hooked to the hose attachment. If not, the fine concrete dust will get to every inch of the rest of the house within 30 seconds and your spouse will divorce you. 2) Don't forget to put the vacuum on before the grinder (yup, I did this twice and the room was in a cloud within 5 seconds) 3) Start on a small (1 ft x 1 ft) high spot. Use a marker or pencil to scribble over the area you want to grind. Use the grinder for 10 seconds, in a 12" diameter swirling pattern (about 4 circles), with just your arm weight. Now inspect how much was taken off and where it was taken off. Now you have a feel for how aggressive and imprecise the grinding location is. 4) For the rest of your high spots, draw two circles around each of them: the inner circle is the border of the high spot (you want to attack all of this); the outer circle you do NOT want to get to with the grinder. Once you start grinding, you'll lose the inner circle and not know where that border was... the outer circle keeps you from getting lost and going too far. 5) if you have high spots that get right up against a will, you're running into an issue... the grinder will only get to about 3/4" to the wall, and you'll end up with a small cliff there. I got a hand grinder (a small block that you use like a sanding block). That worked remarkably well, but I thought it was too slow and since I was going to cover this with laminate flooring I changed tactics: with chisel, I chipped out from the cliff to the wall and then filled in smooth with leftover self leveling concrete. I only used this grinder for my basement floor. I had about 30 high spots totaling maybe 6' x 6'. It worked very well, and the grinding wheel was still in excellent shape when I was done.

Tool didn’t work very long. A few hours of use and it quit working.
The dust shroud doesn’t work the greatest, it worked well for a while but this is not built to last. I used it for a few hours and it already doesn’t work, luckily Amazon was understanding on returning a used item. Spend the extra money and get a better brand. Don’t take the chance due to the price being lower.
