Great product for the price! I bought one and quickly ordered another as soon as I knew that it worked and could be trusted. The build quality isn't bad, I could see the wire coming out of the dummy battery fatueging overtime if mistreated but as long as you keep the weight of the transformer off of it I think it will hold up for a long time. Glad that I didn't have to invest in a more expensive solution! Although it is inherent in all dummy battery solutions, remember that if your power source goes down, the camera doesn't have a backup battery and will shut down. Make sure you tape the connector that goes into the transformer so that it doesn't fall out.

This has worked flawlessly for my GH5s. I used it for when I'm recording at my desktop (either filming a talking head or doing an online meeting as a webcam). It gives me uninterrupted recording/streaming for a long time. I've even forgotten to shut off my camera a couple of times at night, and the camera was left on for as long as 10 hours without issue (I don't recommend it though). My only caution is to remember that if the power goes out, so does your video...you might want to plug it into a UPS for any filming that is critical.

I purchased two of these, one for each GH4 camera. I should have purchased them years ago. Life saver. I bought generic batteries over the years and they did not hold up after many uses or did not last as long as the Panasonic brand batteries. These units would have come in handy (provided I was stationary near an outlet). If your video shooting allows for plugging in, this can definitely be useful in between battery charges or in lieu of batteries altogether. The quality is good. The camera recognizes this power source and can run until the memory cards are full. No need to turn camera off/on to power save. The GH4 has (and I'm sure other Panasonic models this works for) a small rubber tab which was made for the purpose of having a cable attached to the inside of the camera to the battery. Pull the tab out of the way and you can now close the battery door all the way. Recommend for all-day projects!

I purchased this to provide continuous power for my Panasonic G9. I had it out of the box and in my camera within just a few minutes. The "battery" fits perfectly, and so far, it seems to be working like a champ. I'm ready for longer shoots as well as using my G9 as a webcam without the need to risk batteries dying or keeping a stack of charged batteries on hand. I did substract 1 star for build quality. All of the components, including the cable, power brick, and "battery" seem a little flimsy. I don't expect this to be an issue since this isn't an accessory that will take a beating, but it is something I noticed right out of the box. Otherwise this is a solid value and seems to work great. For those wondering, the G9 (and other cameras) has a small hole through which you can feed the power cable. To access that, simply open the battery compartment and gently push open the lid over the hole that is found on the cover of the battery compartment. Super easy to do. Just be gentle so that you don't somehow break the lid off.

Allows me to pwer my GH5 for hours on end and because the GH5 has dual slots I can record non-stop.... Not sure that's always a good thing because after 6 hours the actors get loopy!!!

Sure is convenient to keep the camera powered up in the video studio. But, I found it adds a very audible 60Hz hum to the audio captured from an external mic - even when I ensure that the mic cord and all power cables are far apart from each other. When I use a battery to power the camera, the audio is flawless, but when I put in this AC adapter, I can hear a prominent hum without changing anything else about my setup.

Works great for live streaming from my LUMIX g9 camera.

Exactly as advertised. I am using my GH5 as webcam so this works perfectly as I dnt have to worry about battery life.
