Effective but Glue Dries
This simple trap works very effectively. When the glue is first exposed, it is very sticky and traps the small gnats easily. I noticed a significant drop in anything flying within a day of installing. After 2 weeks I started noticing small gnats flying around the trap, but not being caught. I removed both sides on the refill as instructed, but I am now only going to use one side of the refill at a time. I will place the exposed glue side facing the light. When the glue dries after 2 weeks, I will rotate it with the unused side.

Catches those critters that get in when opening the door while porch light is on.
I really like having this in my mud room to catch those moths, etc that come in with you when the porch light is on. It catches them before they get around a light when reading or the tv.They are smaller than the Zevo, which I prefer, and I really like the blue light it puts out. Like that it catches bugs on both sides instead of just one side. I really don’t see it catching any of the flies that are in the house. So easy to change. Very pleased with these.

In a nutshell: doesn’t work!
I have an invasion of flies in my kitchen and this product has been plugged in non stop ever since I got it about a week ago. I counted 1(!) fly per 24 hr span. Seriously?! I caught more flies with a melted slurpy that I purposefully left out over night! Even went so far as to put a dirty takeout container right underneath this trap. - Nothing! It’s almost as if this thing repels flies rather than attracting them. To put the icing on the cake I found a moskito landing right on my leg. Want to guess where it didn’t land? Correct! Not on this trap or anywhere near it. I don’t know how this made it past product testing. If it worked, it would be decent looking, easy to use and convenient because the sticky mess is hidden behind the light; but it does NOT work. I truly believe that these few flies were just unlucky and coincidentally decided to be at the wrong spot. Not even close to what was advertised. As is, this really isn’t worth the money. I guess I’ll use it as my new sticky nightlight for the kitchen.

Solid product. A few advantages/disadvantages.
Kept getting buzzed by fruit flies while doing the dishes. Set out a homemade soap and vinegar trap, caught a half-dozen, but they kept coming. Ended up buying this product and a "professional" vinegar trap, figuring I'd do a side-by-side comparison. The light trap wasn't quite as effective as vinegar, but it did catch a couple of dozen flies in six hours (I had no idea there were THAT many) without smelling up the house, and the blue night light is a nice aesthetic addition to the kitchen as long as you don't to closely at it and see all the dead bugs. Most importantly, however, between the two products, I was fly free by the next morning.

Amazing product!
Amazing product and more than half the cost of the bigger name brand! Got this on a deep discount so decided to try it after getting gnats from a house plant. We thought we only had a few flying around but boy, were we humbled.Easy to use. Just peal off the paper from the sticky cartridge, insert and plug in the light. The cartridge is plenty sticky to catch bugs but and small. Super durable and functionality is top notch. Love this so much I bought a few more for friends and family!

Makes good nite light.
Meh, catches gnats not skeeters or flies. Super bright tho, just not good for attracting pests.

It works for me
I keep a fair amount of fruit in my home, and with fruit comes fruit flies. I usually use the homemade methods but grew tired of smelling ACV and wanted to try one of these plug in devices. I happen to catch a great deal on this one yesterday and gave it a try. I was frustrated initially because it didn't attract any on yesterday when I plugged it in. When I woke up this morning, there were three stuck to it. I think it may work better during the nighttime because, the light is so very bright on the thing and the pad is extra sticky, the gnats don't really stand a chance trying to do their gnaty deeds. I can't speak to actual house files and other insects because I only have gnats and this thing works very well, for me.

So glad someone invented this!!
I put one of these in our garage to help cut down on gnats that were coming into the house. It’s astounding the number of not only gnats but moths and flies that it caught! Gonna have to order more refills because this thing works great!
