the Skinfix Acne+ Adapinoid® Gel has some nice ingredients in the list! It doesn’t smell good, kinda weird and musty? and it gets worse over time but it goes away quickly. The texture is strange, a little creamy, a little dry? It doesn’t feel moisturizing but rather mattifying in a non-drying way. I did find that active pimples were less red and angry in the morning. It’s a gentle way to treat angry skin. I’ve used prescription retinol and it can be blunt- this is a much smoother alternative!

I have been using this product for three weeks now and do not notice a difference in my skin. But within that time I have discovered that it will cause your skincare and makeup to pill. For reference I've had the same skincare and makeup routine before adding this product into the rotation and have never had issues with pilling. But after application of this product one time I noticed that as an applied it to my face the following products would begin rolling up as a result of this product. It has a very sticky texture which doesn't really go away, another thing that I suspect could cause the pilling. I would also like to acknowledge that the instructions do advise giving the product time to be absorbed into the skin (likely to prevent pilling), but after waiting five minutes, I followed with my moisturizer and it still pilled. Maybe five minutes wasn't long enough for the product to be absorbed into my skin, but honestly waiting any longer than that is inconvenient for me. I will continue to use this product until it runs out to see if it improves my skin condition, but I highly doubt I will repurchase it unless it does wonders to my blemishes.

Retinol has been a staple in my skincare for 10+ years now. I use it as a (hopefully) anti-aging treatment but also to prevent breakouts/ deal with my pores. Lately, I've been seeing retinoids becoming more popular & while I know they don't target the anti-aging stuff as much, I was still curious to try them out.What I like about this (and retinoids in general) is that it's a less potent option. Don't get me wrong, I like the potency of retinol too, but I can sometimes overdo it & end up irritating my skin. This product is great to throw in the rotation so I can not only prevent such irritation from occurring in the first place, but I also have an alternative I can switch to for a while in the event I accidentally do.I have somewhat sensitive skin & have experienced no ill effects using Skinfix. I think the addition of the niacinamide, HydraSoothe, and squalane really aid in that & help to boost the overall hydration of my skin. It absorbs nicely too without leaving any residue behind. I'm usually never one to say "a little goes a long way"- but that does apply here lol. I've been using this steadily now & am happy with the result thus far. My skin is looking happy, and moderately plumper as well- the texture has improved, and my pores are clearer. I know it's on the pricier side ($48) but it's all about finding what works for you. I have products that are $100+ & others that are $10, it just requires a lot of trial & error & educated guessing.

A solid product from a solid brand!

I really like this gel. I have horribly oily skin and this stuff helps regulate my oil production. It goes on nice and smooth and makes my skin feel so soft. No weird residue or sticky feeling.It does have a very slight scent. Almost botanical. It dries very quickly too!The pump top is a little overzealous and dispenses a lot of product so be very careful pressing the top.I do think that it's a little overpriced for the amount of product you get. The bottle is a little deceiving.I wish they had a larger bottle at a more reasonable price.
