I primarily bought these leashes for my husband who is constantly losing and leaving behind his lighters, as well as stealing mine. 😅 I'd previously bought a name brand set of three for my best friend, which cost about the same as this set of six. From what I can tell the quality is exactly the same minus the branding and style of clip, so this buy was a win for me because I gave most of the leashes to hubby and still had a couple left to use myself as a preventative measure to stop lighter thieves. They work just as well as any other retractable lanyard type clip (i.e., badge holders) and are of comparable quality so I see these lasting a bit of time, given that you don't handle these like a straight up toddler or yank them around with a heavy hand. I've had retractable badge lanyards that have lasted for yearsss through daily use of accessing security doors and constant fidgeting so I'm not sure how other reviewers have broken their leashes so quickly. These hold lighters in a lot better than expected; I pushed the lighter to the very end of the rubber cap and was unable to pull it back out even with force! Great variety of colors to choose from. I'm thinking of buying another set to give out to other friends and family.

I bought these to hold my lighter, but found other uses too. I now have one holding a large tinted chapstick, snd another to hold my vape. They are good quality. I havent had any problems with them breaking or not holding. Decent price for how many you get. So handy to use so my lighter, vape and chapstick doesnt fall to the bottom of my purse.

My husband is a lighter thief, and the only way I’ve been able to always have a lighter is by using a lighter leash. I bought these because the only place to buy them around my area is at a tobacco store, where they are extremely overpriced. The price for these were good, however, two of them have already broken. The string just snaps so easily. I wish they would use a stronger string, like maybe fishing line. I might look around and try another type of lighter leash because although these serve their purpose for maybe a week or two, I need one that isn’t going to always break.
