Perfect Color, Fit, Quality and Value
Everything Woolnut has on their website is spot on accurate. I am delighted to rate this luxury product five stars for the following reasons. Unlike the fake PU leather sleeve I bought first and returned, the Woolnut sleeve exceeds my expectations. The cognac brown color matches what is illustrated on Amazon and on their website. The quality of the leather is premium, soft and has a soft feel similar to Levenger Pads. The wool lining is thin, attached well to the leather and does not leave any lint or fiber residue on my 2020 MacBook Pro 13" laptop. The stitching is exceptional, including the heavy duty multiple looped stitching at the opening where the stress would be greatest as the laptop is inserted and removed often. The fit is absolutely perfect. Despite little effort to insert and remove my laptop, it is secure enough where I could hold the sleeve by the sides, shake the sleeve with the opening facing the floor, and the MacBook Pro not only does not fall out, it does not even move. I expect some loosening to occur with use, but I still think it would not fall out. I paid $81 and received a product well worth that price. I'll see how the leather, stitching and wool age over time. There is only one thing I would add. In addition to having the nondescript imprinted Woolnut name and logo on the front, it would be nice to have the Apple logo on the back, but surely that would increase the cost quite a bit as I am sure Apple would charge a licensing fee for this. And I cannot believe the Apple sleeve costs $179! Woolnut is better!

Pleasantly Surprised
Since Apple no longer makes their leather MB sleeves (which I loved), I needed to look for other options for my new 13" M4 MBA. Initially, I bought a $16 sleeve from Comfyable. That wasn't a bad product, but it felt cheap and I didn't like the feel of it. Obviously, the WN sleeve is more expensive, but the leather is soft and seems like good quality. It fits my MBA perfectly and I have no issues getting it in and out. I love that I can charge the MBA while in the sleeve. The brown cognac color is beautiful. I don't mind spending more money on quality products. It's still to be seen if the leather and quality will stand the test of time, but so far so good.

Exactly what I needed (with a 1-year update)
I wanted a leather sleeve for by MacBook Air M1 that was high quality, beautiful, and without zippers, flaps, or additional pockets. I first considered Apple's own sleeve, which I liked, but after some research, I realized that I could not charge my MBA easily while in the sleeve and also that it was not lined both sides internally — not to mention the $180 price tag. After some research, I came across the Woolnut Sleeve here on Amazon and decided to order it. I could not be more pleased. Not only is it half the price of Apple's offering, it allows me to charge the machine while tucked in a beautiful minimalist leather sleeve that's wool-lined on both sides. The leather is soft, thick, and very high quality. Will look great at a formal business meeting or at the coffee shop. It also fits my 13" MacBook Air like a glove. Highly recommend! UPDATE: I have had the Woolnut Leather Sleeve for my 13" MBA for a year now and it has held up perfectly. In fact, I liked it so much that I just purchased another one for a new 16" MBP directly from Woolnut's website — as the black leather version is no longer available on Amazon (I even happily paid the extra $19 in shipping fees!)

Absolute quality at a fair price
I agonized over choosing a leather MacBook Pro sleeve, and I finally came back to this product after a few hours of deliberation. I'm extremely pleased with the quality of the leather and the stitching, and it feels sturdy enough to protect my laptop. It's a pretty snug fit at first, but I know that it'll mold to fit over time. The leather is a great color and does everything I need it to. I prefer the vertical loading style over the Apple leather case, and the material is thicker as well. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a stylish way to store their MBP.

Mostly worth it for the price, not sure about wear.
So upon opening, I was really impressed with the packaging. It felt really professional, and I loved that the back included more information about the company/case. However, the thick cardboard that the case is delivered in, seemed to be a bit tight on the sleeve.. causing damage upon arrival. The edges of the sleeve were lifted up and with heat and pressure I was able to flatten it out. However, there is a crease down the front in the first picture. I tried to put it under heavy textbooks, but still. If it was for me, I would not mind, however I am a bit picky as a gift. It does fit perfectly otherwise and I wonder suggest if there is any way to make the sleeve so the construct is not like a “sandwich” with the wool on the side? I am afraid of the wool separating from the leather in the third picture, since it already came with the leather folded, like the corners of a book. Some people mentioned a smell, it does go away quickly. Sturdy, but make sure you are aware it is a flexible sleeve. Look at picture 2.

Much MUCH better than Apple's leather sleeve
First I bought Apple's way overpriced leather sleeve. Here's a warning: it's not protective whatsoever. The thin leather lets damage in. I couldn't believe that somehow, while my previous MacBook Air was securely in the sleeve, a puncture happened on the upper left corner of the sleeve, leaving a small tear in it AND an actual tiny ding or dent in my MacBook!!!! Heartbreak!!!! This is NOT ideal! Epic fail!! The thin leather alone is useless except for scratches. I now have the newest MacBook Air and wasn't about to reuse that Apple sleeve with it so I started looking for an alternative and found it in the Woolnut leather/wool sleeve. At half the price it's twice the protection; no, three times the protection at least. The wool lining provides enough padding so that the ding that happened with my last MacBook will be much much less likely to occur. Another good thing about the Woolnut sleeve opposed to the Apple version is there's enough overlap at the open end that protects the laptop with about 1/4 inch of recessed space; not so the Apple sleeve. Save time and if you're looking for the quality leather equivalent of Apple's very pricey leather, get this one. I've already done all the "legwork" and the Woolnut is priced right, yes, still fairly expensive but 50% LESS than the Apple sleeve and the best alternative. Woolnut has the right amount of quality woolen lining, offering much more padded protection than you'd have if you were to buy the Apple sleeve. The MacBook fits so nicely in the sleeve; it's glovelike. I don't take my MacBook ANYWHERE without first slipping it into this sleeve. If you want to take extra care, Mosiso has a great zippered sleeve and it's only around 15-20 dollars. I then put the Woolnut encased MacBook into my Mosiso sleeve, zipper it up, the fit is perfect, and am then assured the precious cargo is incredibly well protected on the go. I was never a fan of hardshell cases, but Incase makes the best one and if you REALLY are paranoid about damaging your MacBook on the go, the Incase hard case applied on to your MacBook does not take up much space at all and the MacBook can still fit into your Woolnut sleeve with the Incase hard shell case on it....just a tip from someone who knows; I have all three for protection but now with the Woolnut sleeve it's not as necessary to put a hardshell case on a MacBook but it works with all three; the Incase into the Woolnut into the Mosiso. I have a few iPads, an iPhone and three laptops and am incredibly ACD about them so they're all protected with cases or sleeves. The Woolnut sleeve for your MacBook is your best bet (followed by the Mosiso). Knowing one scratch or ding can ruin your whole week/month/year, go for the best.

It’s not the look, it’s the feel!!
I was on the wall about buying this product. I didn’t think I liked the texture of the leather very much, and upon buying it, I wasn’t immediately impressed(it looks like the photos). However, the moment my hands touched this quality sleeve, I was in love. None of the cheap plastic/PLU cases if ever bought compared. It is just so soft! And I actually use it a lot. Other than keeping my MacBook Air in, I like to set it on top while I use it when on rougher surfaces. I like to use it on my lap with my MacBook because it is so soft, and it works phenomenally as a mousepad. You don’t know luxury until you mousepad is a $90 piece of leather xD And the looks have grown on me. It’s a simple, quality product, and was worth every penny!

Awesome sleeve, looks genuine, and fits the 13-inch 2022 macbook air m2 with ease!
This case is AWESOME. It's premium and made with high quality. Also, do not listen to the other reviews on this product saying it doesn't fit the brand-new Macbook air m2. It fits it like a glove! Perfect sleeve.
