Works but not great
There are so many variations of this cheap vfd. Most of them are similar but to make it clear I knew I was buying a cheap piece of equipment but I could get it here quick while I waited on a real vfd. To my surprise this one does not have an auto tune function at all. You can choose from 3 different curve profiles. This makes a few issues. One being the high frequency, nails on a chalkboard sound it makes when starting. The other is heat. Another annoying noise it makes is the cooling fan... you have to choose from a few profiles depending on torque curve you desire. More torch, more nails on chalkboard. I can hear it over my compressor! Again it’s cheap and will keep things moving while I wait for the real one. Don’t expect much. I’m running it on a cnc lathe spindle and was able to operate it using remote triggering and variable speed using 0-10V functions from my cnc.
