works and promised. I only needed one for my mex strat but it came in a 2 pack so i installed the other one in my tele.

Used these to replace the ugly stamped metal string trees on my Tele. It's a quick install. I re-used the same screws that came out of the guitar. Looks better and works great. Tuning is nice and smooth. It's a shame that the big-name guitar companies charge a premium for their instruments and yet still find ways to cut corners on simple hardware like this.

These string trees were the first of the set of many modifications that I have been making on a Squier Affinity Stratocaster. My stock string treats always looked cheap. One of them was slightly too small for the screw head. The screw was jammed into the string tree at an angle which always annoyed me. Literally the hardest part of the assembly was getting that stock screw out of the string tree. The Tusq trees are made so that I could use the stock string tree screws. I didn't have to redrill any holes or make any modifications. I love how they look, and how easy they were to put in. They were great choice to get started with my guitar modifications.

This thing keeps those pesky strings from hanging up on that sticky stock string tree. This plus some good nut lubricant makes Strats, Duo Sonics, Mustangs, etc. stay in tune nicely. Locking tuners will help too.

If you have a guitar that requires string trees (i.e., any Fender or Fender-style guitar), these are an essential upgrade. I have always hated the metal "butterfly" string trees that come standard and even the upgraded rounded metal ones leave a lot to be desired. The GraphTech string trees are inexpensive, seamless to install, and create an immediate improvement in tone and playability. Bends on the G & B strings feel smoother and there is more resonance when these strings are played open.

The stamped steel trees on most Fender guitars are junk. Sharp edges that can dig into strings and they can flex leading to tuning instability. These Graph Tech trees solve all that! They last forever, are perfectly smooth and contoured, and look great to boot! I put them on every Fender from day one. Pro tip.. when putting in a new wood screw put a little candle wax or beeswax on the threads. It acts as a lubricant so that the threads don't tear up the hole in the wood of the headstock.

Graphtech Tusq Xl Sleek String Tree Bought as i usually upgrade from the original metal string tree's. My guitar already had a Graphtech nut so this just added to the stability. Easy to fit, anyone can do without an issue and even in some case's there was no need to use the screw as the original screw fitted well so it was a simple case of just removing the metal tree with the self lubricated one not the most prettiest thing you could do however, does the trick stops the string binding and increase the tuning stability.

Nice alternative to metal trees. Look great and seem to work well. Screws are large but was able to use the screws from the original trees which is what I would suggest instead of making larger holes. Would buy again.
