Remote actually worked on my Bose SoundDock Series III! Really pleased that this remote worked due to my speaker being almost 13 years old and works like new.

Super light remote with battery included. No programming required, the power button, volume and the play/pause work however skipping tracks and what i assume skipping folders or playlists do not. I didn't think the play/pause button worked but if I press and hold for a few seconds it will pause, a single press and it will start playing again. It is a inexpensive replacement that fit my main want of controlling the volume from across the room. Update a couple days later all buttons are now functional I removed the ipod and reinstalled a few days later and now they work.?

Compatible replacement remote for Bose Sound Dock. Put battery in remote, nada, nothing from Sound Dock. It didn't work.

It works for the fundamentals.

Volume up/down works, but the rate that it goes up/down is janky. It is not a constant step, but rather like a logarithmic control as you press it. I recommended manually clicking it until you get to the volume you want to prevent any surprises. Oh! But the jankiness does not stop there! It does not power on the thing, but it somehow does power off... I get around that by plugging the auxiliar cable again. No idea about the other buttons, but I wouldn't be surprise if it is as janky. In the end, it did what I wanted (turn up the volume), so three stars.

I came across a used Bose SoundDock Series II that didn't have a remote. I basically just looked for the cheapest remote that looked as close to factory as possible when I found this one. It worked right out of the box and has been working for weeks.

Bought this remote because my original Bose Sounddock Series II remote control stopped working. This remote works just fine; all the functions work just like the original... power, volume, play/pause, forward, repeat, etc. Very good replacement for the money and much cheaper than buying another Bose remote, if you can even find one.
