Scheppach DBS800 Drill Bit Sharpener, 240 V, Blue/Black

i had high hopes for quick easy drill bit sharpening for my bits under 13mm however i way very disappointed with the performance so basically its rubbish, the box contained no instructions but thanks to youtube i found out what was what and how with this style bit sharpener. right out the box this was bad i wanted to sharpen about 25 old HSS drill bits ranging from 4mm to 12mm, the process seems ok easy to do i had better success with the small drill bits over the 8mm and over, my main problem is the the device inside that does all the sharpening is already worn out after just 20 bits so it is impossible to say this is an effective way to sharpen bits, i have an attachment on my bench grinder what puts a very sharp cutting surface every time just as long as i am using my fine graded stone. it takes some practice buy once you know how to sharpen on the bench grinder i have to date yet to find a better way or tool to make me think otherwise. this scheppach drill bit sharping tool for a tool geek like me is a bit of fun for a while but ultimately it is a gimmick ! and that is all it is, its not a serious tool in my eyes, after playing with the drill doctor which my farther in law uses i can say with confidence that the Scheppach is no way as good or well built as the drill doctor and i think the drill doctor is not much cop and over priced and over rated too. Anyway this one from Scheppach which is already needing a new grinding wheel and the motor smells like its burnt putty it is already on its way back to amazon if not already back. if you see it in warehouse deals any time after April 23rd 2018 i would seriously avoid it unless you are wanting to pay for a new internal diamond sharpening wheel as you will need one! and a few spare if you intend using this regular, it would work out cheaper buying some new split point high cobalt content drill bits than wasting your time with this. i did try and pass on my experience with this item but no matter how much i say dont do it it is best you try it yourself and see for yourself.

Assolutamente indispensabile...dovrebbe essere in tutte le officine , facile da usare , una volta preso mano in breve affili tutte le punte trapano ...non potrai più farne a meno , robusto , silenzioso e preciso , affila e fa anche lo scarico a punte fino a 13mm ....era da comperare tanto tempo fà

Ein paar praktische Tipps. Beim justieren der Bohrer drehe ich ihn vorsichtig, dann sitzt die Kralle besser und genauer. Beim Anschleifen drücke ich den Halter nicht ganz nach hinten ein. Steller erst dann den Motor an, und schiebe dann den Halter ganz langsam tiefer rein und bewege ihn dabei und her. Ich höre damit auf wenn das Schleifgeräusch über die ganze Fläche zu hören ist. So nehme ich nicht Zuviel und nicht Zuwenig Fläche ab. Durch das dauernde hin und her bewegen und das langsame nachschieben bekomme ich auch eine glattere Oberflächliche hin. Mit etwas Gefühl und Geduld gibt das einen super bohrenden Metallbohrer
