I bought these mainly for the vinyl coating as I think having a more substantial barrier between you and the lead might reduce the risk of contamination and lead exposure. So far, it's a great product. After trying these out, I purchased more in the other sizes, and will take them with me locally, as well as for any travel where I'm not flying.
