Great case
5 years later... protected from drops and bangs. No chips or dings on either case or computer. Great case. Just bought new Mac. This company doesn't have a pretty ones like this so went with a different brand. But if these folks don't have a pretty option.

Really beautiful case at this price!
I've been using Tech21 cases for all my devices and I know I can't compare to this at 2x the price. However, I'm not going to twist the judgment because of the price. I'd state the facts and comparisons vs Tech21, but you'd have to judge base on its price if it worths for you. I've been using that Tech21 since 2014 and finally, the MBP outlast the case, the rubbery surface turned very sticky (which I always hate rubbery surfaces). Tech21 protection layer left its mark on the MBP case too. I know that over the years, many cases, including famous brands of similar prices often resulted in problems like cracking if not falling off. The volume of reviews seem to state that this case is durable, so I'd be happy to have a try. Anyway, I'm not carrying this old MBP around so I'm not too worry about it falling apart, and just protect it in case I drop a knife on it. What it's great? 1. The appearance is beautiful! (I've chosen the old wooden pattern) 2. It seems fitting in and not stretching too hard, which I'd predict that it's not so easy to crack by itself. 3. It's easy to install What can be improved? (oh, it's such an old model already, not sure newer models had improved. Just facts if you wanna buy one too) 1. Both the top and bottom pieces are snapped by 2 hooks at the front and 2 at the back. The sides seem a little wobbling if I hold it there. 2. It feels hard and matt near glossy surface at the top, feels great! In fact it's a soft material like leather kind of hardness. A scratch by my nails can make an indent on it, but I've yet to damage it yet. This is absolutely fine for me. 3. The top piece is slightly wider than the bottom piece, which makes it a little weird when the MBP closed. Not obvious, just not perfectly matched thickness like Tech21 or naked MBP. 4. The latches locking the case on MBP don't seem perfectly locking on, just very slightly. It does stay in place as other parts of the case edge grab on the MBP and not falling off. I don't feel it falling off, just aware of this only. 5. Some part of the trims may feel little scratchy, but not hurting me anyway. 6. The bottom is still feeling rubbery finished and I'd worry if it'd get sticky again over years. However I'm not sure for how many more years I'd use this old MBP, or if it gets sticky, I may just detach the bottom piece and leaving the top piece on, if it's not turning sticky at that time. Conclusion All the areas to improve are very minor and I'm very happy on this purchase. If this is for a completely new 16" maxed out MBP, I'd still prefer Tech21 quality, unless it has an improved new model case. For an old MBP, I think this is better then a lot of other major brand cases in the market. Should you buy I? It'd say yes, no worries.

Recommend Leather Laptop Cover - Excellent Initial Quality
Received blue leather cover for my 15-Inch 2016 Macbook Pro today. Outer package was soaked due to rain, but inner package was dry and the product was well protected. The cover is beautiful blue leather on the top shell and black plastic on the bottom shell. It installed within seconds, fit perfect. The bottom shell has 4 rubberized feet. This was important for my needs because I had to glue feet on my last case so the laptop was raised off of surfaces to decrease risk of overheating, and to keep it from sliding on slick table tops. Although this is only day one, I anticipate the cover will be sufficiently durable for daily work tasks. It is definitely a much better product than my last hard cover (it cracked when I tried to put it on the laptop). I have no qualms about recommending this cover.

Beautiful case
I love this case, I was really impressed with the print quality when I received it in the mail. I did a lot of research before purchasing and I think it's the best marble-patterned one that you will find. It popped onto my macbook pro easily, and has stayed put. Bought this almost 3 months ago and no issues with it. I'm not sure how well it will protect my laptop if it falls, but I try not to put my laptop in precarious places. I mostly wanted something to prevent getting dirty finger prints on the outside of the laptop, and I really liked the marble aesthetic. One thing I didn't like was the white smudge in the print. I put an arrow pointing to it in the attached pic, it makes the pattern look a lot less realistic. But overall, still an impressive case. My mother in law loved it when she first saw it!

VERY DISAPPOINTED
Bought the new MBP 2020 with touchbar about a week and a half ago. Normally when I buy a new item, I have a case ready and waiting - but did not in this instance. Selected this one because I thought the 'blue leather' looked classy and page stated it was compatible with the new model A2251. Received this today. The top fits well and looks very nice. The bottom was another story and did not appear to fit correctly. Upon closer inspection - one of the plastic "tabs" that clips on the side was half broken off (only half the clip remaining) which is probably why it would not grip well. Additionally - upon closer inspection, the "blue leather" stop which looked nice was already peeling slightly at the border. I did not notice this initially but once the cover was on, it was easy to spot. Very simply, it's just cheap workmanship. Pay $20 and you get a $20 case. Lesson Learned. Some of this may have been due to the packaging. This was delivered by the USPS in a padded Amazon "pak", but due to the length of the product - it was sticking out the top of the mailer and the top was not sealed. The product was not protected at all. Anyone handling the package could have reached in and easily stolen the product. Incredibly disappointed as now I have to go through the hassle of return, and my laptop is still unprotected.

Protects with a mushy fit.
The cover works as a protector, but the fit is slightly off. Still usable, but the lower case pops off on the sides. The cover stays on and protects but if you are looking for precision this is not the cover for you.
