This works very well. I was using Ouai for fine hair (which is a great shampoo too) but this is 1/3 of the price. Highly recommended.

You don't need to use much of this product, it's not like regular shampoo so a very small amount will cover your hair. I have long hair and I used less than a quarter size amount. The lather turns thick like whipped cream thick which is nice and smells wonderful. Made my hair very soft and quality is great. I used the conditioner and thickner spray as well. It did make my hair feel thicker but the next day it was limp again but I'll keep using it. I'll continue to buy the shampoo and spray but not the conditioner and continue to put my other gel and mousse in my hair so my hair is thicker for at least 4 days before my next wash. All the products are easy to use and they are not oil.

Alright, I didn’t expect much but I’m pretty impressed. I have very fine curly hair prone to breakage; lately I’ve been worried about thinning around my part and hairline. This product is cheap enough that I figured, why not try it?I’ve used this and the conditioner for a few days now, along with my usual curl cream and blow dryer. I wish I’d taken before photos - maybe I’ll upload pics of a day I don’t use it vs when I do. My part and hairline are much less noticeable, my hair has more volume with less frizz, and my curls are more defined. I don’t lose as much hair in the shower.It doesn’t promise to be a permanent solution but it really does work after one use, so it helps while searching for a longterm treatment. Pretty cheap compared to most specialized hair products.One star off because I hate the smell. Kind of a medical scent - reminds me of Head & Shoulders maybe? But the smell washes out, the conditioner has a lighter/better scent, and my curl cream covers both.

This is quite possibly the best shampoo I have ever used.When I was younger, I had fine, perfectly straight hair that just hung there. As I have aged, the few gray hairs have come in coarser and a bit curly making my hair mixed.While I love John Frieda shampoos, I hate hate hate that they introduce them, I find one I like and then it just disappears and they come out with a new one. Let me keep the ones that I like!Anyway, I bought this one when they discontinued the last one. From the moment you start to lather, you will feel a difference. Thick, silky lather! I even checked the directions - you don't have to "lather, rinse & repeat". I usually do out of habit but have tried to lathering once and it does work. I want a shampoo to make my hair feel clean and not like it has left a bunch of gunk behind and this one does seem to rinse all out.And my hair feels different. Yes, it feels thicker - with more body - but more importantly to me, it feels really silky and smooth.Please don't discontinue this one - I want to keep using it!

I'm currently in the beginning stages of alopecia hair loss/thinning & was excited to use something by a longstanding name brand such as John Frida. My hair did appear to have slightly more volume. Since I can't wash my hair every day, I was pleased that my hair didn't feel greasy or oily the next day, but the added volume was totally gone. The scent threw me off because it was not feminine, flowery/fruity typical shampoo smell. I'd describe it more like a men's cologne or men's body wash. The scent was also very strong as I kept catching a whiff of it off & on all day long.

Have very fine hair that at 74 is thinning. This shampoo has the softest, foamiest lather that felt so good. I really believe my hair was shinier, softer and felt fuller! I never use conditioner because no matter how little i use i feel it weighs down my hair. Combing out my hair was easy and like i said shiny, soft and fuller.

I am definitely not surprised at the John Frieda product because I've used it before and I've always been satisfied. But I am very satisfied and amazed how thick this shampoo has made my hair. My hair was thinning and within the first time that I washed my hair I could tell the difference in the thickness of my hair great job I love this product

I have used this thickening shampoo for many many months, as has my daughter. I purchase multiples for both of us whenever we are close to running out. The first several months, we both loved the product. It lathered so well and truly made a big difference in the appearance of volume in our hair. i loved it. This last batch I purchased- about a month ago, I noticed it was perceptively more diluted and did not create the luxurious volume the other ones did. I'm guessing the formula has changed (which a google search confirmed.) I no longer recommend it and will again search for a new filler shampoo. John Frieda, what the heck happened?
