This little thing is great for connecting a usb thumb drive to my iphone! I can move files to and from the usb drive, and even back things up as needed.

I used this to connect a USB-MIDI adapter to my iPhone (3rd gen SE). It worked great, though I noticed that the Lightning end of the adapter gets quite warm.However, the adapter stopped working eventually: it works for 30 seconds to a couple of minutes after plugging in, then stops registering input (the phone still sees the MIDI adapter, but the phone no longer sees any MIDI key presses). The adapter always sat on my desk, no rough handling or extreme conditions - I think it just wore out, maybe from overheating.I got it in November 2024, I used it ~15 minutes/day, and it started misbehaving in July 2025. So I got what I paid for, but I'd rather pay more for a product that lasts.
