I love the mason jar aesthetic of this pitcher, and I love that it eliminates the need for disposable filters. I was intimidated to make my own cold brew, but I hated the plastic waste of buying it by the bottle, so I gave this pitcher a try—and omg, it tastes sooo smooth!I made my brew a little differently by pouring the water into the pitcher first and then scooping the coffee directly into the water instead of into the filter. After stirring it up, I put the filter in place and screwed the lid on. When ready, the filter works perfectly to let the brew pour without any grounds sneaking through. This method makes a stronger brew.For reference, I used 1.5 cups of coffee to 8 cups of water. I let it brew on the counter overnight for a head start, then moved it to the fridge. It’s strong enough to dilute 50/50 with milk and ice, which is just right for me. The taste is smooth and bold without any bitterness—even using regular Dunkin’ Original ground coffee! I’ve read that paper filters absorb the flavorful coffee oils, and maybe that’s why this tastes so good.I’m thrilled with this purchase—for the flavor, the long-term savings, and the environmental friendliness.

A post about cold brewing caught my eye during downsizing & having been unhappy for some time with my coffeepot's footprint (too much counter space, too many electrical cords), the prep routine & bitter taste. So, after checking out some videos, I ordered this & what a joy!Amazon delivered it zippy-quick yesterday. I washed it, poured in the coffee grounds & H2O from my distiller then tucked the pitcher into a small spot on the counter overnight.Wow! First thing this morning, it was ready to enjoy & with a delightful, intense flavor but no bitterness -- much, much better than my electric coffeepot! Great taste, small footprint, simplicity & function (no leaks) -- I am now a very happy, permanent convert, thank you!

I'm loving my cold coffee brews but I was not loving the mess I was making trying to drain the coffee grounds through cheese cloths. This item solved that and could not make the process so much easier. The pitcher is nice and sturdy and the wire filter is great for keeping all grounds intact so throwing them out is a breeze. With the included brush keeping both filter and pitcher clean is so easy. The only reason I'm giving a 4.5 star versus a 5 is that I was hoping that you could still pour the finished coffee without the grounds coming out. I solved this by purchasing another 64 oz mason jar and use the metal filter in that to brew coffee and then pour it into the pitcher so I always have another one at the ready. Product is awesome and I recommend having an extra large jar to do this. Highly recommend and have shared with my cold brew buddies.

Easy to use with straight forward directions, this item was for my 16 year old & he LOVES it, makes cold/iced coffee that is so much smoother and the bitter after taste is gone, I didn't know what a difference in the taste of coffee the cold brewing method makes, it really is less bitter and seems to have an all around fuller taste/ smell, easy to clean metal filter for the coffee grounds with a 2 quart glass mason jar as the body of the cold brewer, thick glass and a sturdy cap that allows for easy pouring when the coffee is finished doing its brewing thing in the fridge, all parts are easy to clean in warm soapy water, if you're just curious about this "crazy cold brewing phase" that all the big time coffee chains seem to be going through then this is a great buy that I would recommend to anyone who's looking for a sturdy no frills cold brewer, especially first timers like my son & I, it may not make a quick cup of coffee but it does seem to make the best tasting coffee so if you have the time & the fridge then we highly recommend this cold brewer!

I have four of these, and they are perfect. You can pour hot water in it and then put ice straight away and the glass is strong enough to withstand it. The filter makes it so easy to make iced teas and iced coffee the handle makes it easy to pour. It is exactly what I was looking for.

The filter on this is excellent — it captures even finely ground granules with no mess. It’s easy to remove and clean. The lid and handle are sturdy and well-constructed, with no flimsy feel or bending under the weight of the glass and liquid. Overall, a very well-made product.

This is a great and easy pitcher to make cold brew in. It is easy to use, you just fill with water, pour in the coffee into the strainer and then wait 24-48 hours for it to soak. It is easy to clean and holds up in the dishwasher. I have even used the pitcher to make teas. The lid closes tight and I like that it has a handle for easy pouring. It doesn’t take up too much space in the fridge and fits in the door shelf.
