Not up to Luger's standard. Even under the most forgiving lighting conditions the image was blurry and indistinct after multiple attempts to focus.

Decent buy for it's price. Better options out there.
During the biodiversity module of my degree my lecturer lent me his own monocular to spot waterfowl at the WWT London Wetland Centre. In comparison to the binocular that I rented the monocular was a lot easier to use. I was looking for a monocular that will take a beating on expedition and could double as a macro scope during my field studies. I was looking to try before I buy so I took a trip to the camping stores around Covent Garden. They had a very restricted selection of monoculars and honestly this was the most advanced model that I could find. Surprisingly bright optics considering its price which is in the low-end of the monocular market. There is a more advanced version of this model available http://www.amazon.co.uk/Luger-LU-102-630-2-MD-6x30-Monocular/dp/B001BYZOEQ/ref=pd_sim_sbs_sg_3?ie=UTF8&refRID=1SQ13WQ9V67743MPY8YW. The size of the monocular is really impressive and would make a good back-up to a more expensive scope on trips to rural areas. The flexible eye-piece is meant for those who wear glasses but I just find it really annoying and uncomfortable especially since I don't always wear glasses myself in the field. The 5 metre minimum focusing distance just isn't good enough for what I will be using it for since all my subjects won't always be further than 5m away from me. Will probably be selling this one to one of my classmates on our next expedition. I look forward to upgrading to this bad boy. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Luger-5-15x17-Monocular-Hunting-Hiking/dp/B00BRGX72E/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pd_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=1UBQS1FIQYFMR&coliid=I1L39HEQ6XI76L
