BOSS Audio Systems NX2800.1 2800 Watt Monoblock Mosfet Amplifier with Remote, 1 Channel, Surface Mount, Model Number: NX2800.1, Part Number: NX2800.1, Brand: BOSS Audio Systems : desertcart.co.uk: Business, Industry & Science Review: PROS: --> Good Value. Many people get mislead by thinking power rating is RMS. Boss typically rate all their AMP at MAX peak and not RMS. If you buying this expecting power at RMS, you will be greatly disappointed. RMS for this AMP is more like 500W @ 4 ohms and 900W @ 2 ohms. This RMS power is a very good value for any AMP under $100. --> This is fairly good quality and is a fairly heavy amp. Runs fairly cool at 4 ohms but any amps will overheat running at full capacity when in hot weather. Turn down setting in summer time. --> Hookup and setting are very clean and neat. CONS: Power rating a bit confusing. OTHER THOUGHTS: --> The NXD3500 had a recent price reduction to be around the same price on desertcart. At around the same price I would rather get the NXD3500 which is basically the same amp but also have class D (more efficient) and stable at 1 ohm. Review: This amp is big and looks awesome the down side is it is only two ohm stable gets real hott i put a amp fan on it mounted it in the front of my port so i cold keep it cool its nice amp for what i paid for it just want a amp that is one ohm stable im spoiled this is good for like 10 inch subs or 12 that are not beefy i have two audio pipe subs eye candies version they r beefy they dont rock on this amp its ok i like ear hurting bass this is by far from that would recommemnd to people who like some bass but not for comp use lol also its nice design is cool for mounting boss did a nice job the way they set this amp up just will do until i get another one lol

Bought this amp for my son's car to add to the Boss chaos 4 ch amp that we are very happy with. I thought that if the onyx amp puts out 50% of the RMS rated power it would be more than enough, it DOES NOT. I Have it running 2 duel 4 ohm subs rated 400 w rms wired to 1 channel at 4 ohms total. I estimated power output at about 500w to 600w rms @ 14 v. I spent hours trying to get more power out it, used inputs from truck stereo, hooked directly to spare battery, change the way the subs were wired. NO DIF. Wired to one sub at 2 ohms for a test and it defiantly over powered the 1 sub but no where near the power claimed. I believe it would run 2-400 w subs @ 2 ohms ok. Wire connections on the amp are very nice.

This lasted a year and not a day more than that. Now I have definitely been a BOSS audio fan, and would choose them over any other brand for their exceptionally low prices and seemingly high standards. But when my amp started cutting out when i had it turned only up to 1/4 of the max then I started getting upset... I have never turned the gain on the amp to more than 1/2 and the gain adjustment knob that is connected to the cord that comes with the amp that runs up to my center console is rarely ever more than half itself either. Now that all other possibilities of bad wiring have been checked I will have to sadly say that this amp put itself to rest. Well, you get what you pay for.

I bought this amp and within a month it shorted out so I called the company and got a new one. The new one lasted me about 5 months then that one shorted out too. This amp quality sucks but the company doesnt! I bought a differnt amp from them and it has been working for almost 2 years now with no problems. Dont buy this amp buy a differnt amp from them that is close to this one.
